<p><strong>Mount St Patrick Primary School, Murwillumbah (2 days)</strong></p><p><strong>St Ambrose Catholic Primary School, Pottsville</strong></p><p><strong>(3 days)</strong>&nbsp;</p><p>A Speech Therapist is required to work across two Primary Schools (St Ambrose and Mt St Patrick Primary School). The initial&nbsp;contract the remainder of 2024 with the possibility of it being extended beyond 2024.</p><p>The successful&nbsp;applicant will need to be a person who can show initiative, is adaptable and highly motivated. The role is diversified and entails working in a collaborative&nbsp;environment which will include working within a classroom setting, liaising&nbsp;with outside agencies and working closely with class teachers.</p><p>The successful applicant is not expected to work school holidays.</p><p>_____________________________________________________________________________________________________</p><p>SPEECH THERAPIST</p><p><i>Full time, temporary position commencing 12 August 2024</i></p><p><i>38 hours per week</i></p><p>_____________________________________________________________________________________________________</p><p><strong>Applicants must:</strong></p><ul><li>Applicants must hold a current NSW Working with Children Check</li><li>Have a knowledge of and commitment to the Catholic ethos and mission of the school</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Criteria:</strong></p><ul><li>Hold a Degree in Speech Pathology and current membership with Speech Pathology Australia<br>&nbsp;</li><li>Experience in administering assessments, therapy sessions with students, completing progress notes/documentation, developing reports and support letters, correspondence with other professionals e.g. doctors, teachers, other therapists, work colleagues</li><li>Competency with discipline specific assessments and interventions relevant to young people</li><li>Experience and/or enthusiasm for working in schools, excellent communication skills, flexibility, the ability to work collaboratively with teaching teams, and the ability to engage and relate to students, parents and staff</li><li>Ability to work autonomously with a varied caseload</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Award:</strong> Educational Services (School) General Staff Award (averaged) – Classification – Speech Therapist. Remuneration dependent on qualification.
