Scone Grammar School is looking for a Full-Time P-12 School Chaplain / Christian Studies Teacher to join our dynamic team commencing July 2024. The successful candidate will be able to teach Christian Studies across the Primary and Secondary Years, lead chapel services and facilitate our Christian youth groups within SGS.

The successful candidate will be able to teach Christian Studies across the Primary and Secondary Years, lead chapel services and facilitate our Christian youth groups within SGS. </p><p>Scone Grammar School (SGS) is an Anglican Co-Educational School for positive, flourishing learners from Preschool to Year 12. As a part of our organisation, you have access to the following great benefits:<br />• Generous salary and salary packaging options<br />• Career and professional development opportunities<br />• The opportunity to work within an innovative, collaborative team </p><p><strong>Skills and Abilities:</strong><br />• A willingness to teach Christian Studies across the primary and secondary years.<br />• An ability to plan, prepare and deliver quality learning experiences.<br />• Active listening skills and the ability to engage with and builds strong positive relationships with members of the school community including employees, students and parents.<br />• An ability to create a dynamic and inclusive learning environment to engage and support diverse students. </p><p>• Well-developed organisational skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills; the ability to work well in a team, as well as the ability to work independently.<br />• An ability to maintain student records and samples of work and report on student performance to students, parents and other stakeholders as required.<br />• A willingness to participate in the collaborative development and evaluation of the curriculum and regularly monitor, through observation and evaluation, the effectiveness of the teaching program.<br />• An ability to create dynamic and engaging programs that include a multitude of ICT opportunities for student learning.<br />• A willingness to participate in co-curricular activities, school decision making processes and professional development.</p><p><strong>Essential Criteria</strong><br />• A Bachelor of Theology or Education, or otherwise an Advanced Diploma in Theology or Ministry would be acceptable.<br />• A deep passion for the gospel of Jesus Christ and the emerging generation.<br />• Experience in dynamic church and school-based ministry to children and families.<br />• Desire to work as part of a team, both within school and with the local parish to expand opportunities for students to grow their faith.<br />• Skill in the oversight, and development of leaders.<br />• Vision-driven and action-oriented, with a desire to achieve.<br />• Capacity and experience in teaching Christian Studies.<br />• Experienced or graduate teachers are encouraged to apply for this role.<br />• A valid NSW Working with Children Check.<br />• Commitment to the education and wellbeing of young people.<br />The successful applicant will be committed to our school values and proactively contribute to our SGS team.
