The successful applicant will support many cultures and engage with organisations, community members and parents/cares, and also assist with interpreting when needed.</p><p><strong>To be successful for this role, you must demonstrate; </strong></p><ul><li>strong communication skills and the ability to deal sensitively with students, parents/carers and staff when required</li><li>ability to work effectively both autonomously and as part of a team</li><li>intermediate computer literacy skills (MS Office and Google suite)</li><li>interpersonal skills in working with a range of people</li><li>excellent written and oral communication</li><li>proven ability to recognise confidential issues as they arise and to treat them with the sensitivity required</li><li>a willingness to support the inclusive Catholic religious and cultural environment for students</li><li>other duties as directed by the Principal.</li></ul><p><strong>Essential Criteria</strong></p><ul><li>previous experience in a school environment</li><li>experience in current office software packages and competent use of same</li><li>ability to efficiently communicate in both English and a second language, both written and spoken</li><li>good communication skills</li><li>ability to assist College staff with translation in a second language</li><li>excellent organisational skills</li><li>pleasant phone manner</li><li>ability to work within a team environment</li><li>prepared to participate in further training and professional development when necessary.</li></ul><p><strong>Desirable</strong></p><ul><li>ability to speak, read and write in Arabic.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>You will have attained: </strong></p><ul><li>a Certificate III/ IV (TAFE NSW) or equivalent post-secondary qualification in administration, human resources, finance, accounting or equivalent</li><li>an SCS Employee ID Number, by completing the<a href="https://sydcatholicschools.nsw.edu.au/careers/register" rel="nofollow"> <u>Registration To Work</u></a> process, or a commitment to complete the registration process.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Please note candidates may be interviewed and appointed prior to the closing date. </strong></p><p> </p><p><strong>Statement of Commitment to Child Safety </strong></p><p><a href="https://drive.google.com/file/d/1moHWv3A7WHapPQqPo5_J5QWsAk0pAJzi/view" rel="nofollow">Click here</a> to access SCS' Statement of Commitment to Child Safety and join us in creating a culture of child safety and wellbeing.</p><p><strong>Working With Children Check (WWCC)</strong></p><p>This role is classified as child-related work and therefore requires a WWCC clearance prior to commencement of employment. </p><p><i>SCS welcomes and encourages applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and candidates with diverse backgrounds.</i></p>
