<p>St Peter&#39;s College is a Catholic Co-educational Secondary College in Melbourne&#39;s south-east region that has a proud history of fostering the educational and spiritual development of its students. St Peter&#39;s College offers a rich and relevant curriculum in a modern learning environment which provides every student the opportunity to reach their full potential.</p><p>Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the ongoing, full-time position of Teacher – Year 9 Program which is available for immediate commencement and based at our Clyde North Campus. The College will also consider part-time applications. If you are applying for this position in a part-time capacity, please ensure that you include your preferred FTE.</p><p>The Year 9 Program (XSPAND9) strives to adopt an authentic and innovative approach to learning, supported by current educational research and evidence. The XSPAND9 program operates within a purpose-built facility to accommodate student-centred learning and 21st century pedagogies.</p><p>As part of XSPAND9, real world problems and challenges will be explored within the following integrated subject areas:</p><ul><li>STEM – Science, Technology, Engineering &amp; Mathematics</li><li>HUME – Humanities &amp; English</li><li>REC – Religious Education &amp; Community</li><li>CHALLENGE – Health &amp; Physical Education</li></ul><p>We welcome applications from individuals who are passionate about teaching and have the ability to provide an engaging program to the students using contemporary teaching methods.</p><p><strong>Our ideal candidate:</strong></p><ul><li>Has the experience, and the qualifications to teach any or all of the above methods </li><li>Is able to engage young people in their learning and supports the educational philosophies of the College</li><li>Has an understanding of the Victorian Curriculum and different teaching methodologies.</li><li>Excellent communication skills.</li><li>Is competent in digital technologies. </li></ul><p>The successful applicant will have a demonstrated commitment to Catholic education and to the safety and wellbeing of children and will hold current Victorian Institute of Teaching Registration.</p><p>For further enquiries, please contact HR Services, on <a href="mailto:people.services&#64;wesleycollege.edu.au" rel="nofollow">hremployment&#64;stpeters.vic.edu.au</a> or phone 03 5990 7717.
