We are seeking to appoint an innovative and enthusiastic teacher able to deliver subjects in English. This is a Permanent full-time (1.0 FTE) teaching role starting 29 July, 2024.

Ascham is an inclusive, day and boarding school that provides a strong academic program within a warm, welcoming environment.</p><p>We are seeking to appoint an innovative and enthusiastic teacher able to deliver subjects in English. This is a Permanent full-time (1.0 FTE) teaching role starting 29 July, 2024. </p><p><strong>Applicants will be able to demonstrate a track record of:</strong></p><ul><li>Their students producing a range of high-quality work</li><li>An ability to deliver safe and engaging lessons</li><li>An understanding of key concepts and the ability to demonstrate practical techniques</li><li>An awareness and ability to provide and manage a safe work environment</li><li>Appropriate use of ICT</li><li>An ability to develop self-efficacy in the students they teach</li></ul><p><strong>What you have to do to succeed:</strong></p><ul><li>A tertiary major in English literature and accreditation with NESA</li><li>Willingness to teach Extension 1 and 2 stage 6 syllabus (highly desirable)</li><li>Excellent communication and writing skills</li><li>Excellent ICT skills and willingness to develop ICT skills within an environment where students bring a personal device to school</li><li>Willingness to carry out other duties as required by the Head of School that fall within the parameters of the role</li><li>Provides references and Working with Children Documentation</li><li>Supports the ethos and strategic direction of the school</li><li>Ability to differentiate for a diverse group of non-selective students</li><li>Ability to teach to the strengths of girls</li></ul><p>The successful applicant will enjoy small class sizes, a stimulating work environment in a team of talented professionals, and attractive remuneration and benefits.</p><p>Further information (including position description) for this role is available: </p><p>https://www.ascham.nsw.edu.au/connecting/careers-at-ascham/</p><p>Please apply via Seek with your cover letter, CV (please include WWCC, NESA &amp; First Aid details) and the names and contact details of two referees by <strong>COB 5 July 2024.</strong></p><p><strong>Please note, we will not proceed with applications that do not have this information.</strong></p>
