Galilee Regional Catholic Primary School is in the heart of South Melbourne and has an enrolment of approximately 340 students. We are seeking to appoint a classroom teacher to join our school community.

<p>Galilee Regional Catholic Primary School is in the heart of South Melbourne and has an enrolment of approximately 340 students. We are seeking to appoint a junior classroom teacher from Term 3, 2024 to join our school community. We are looking for a skilled and innovative junior classroom teacher who has a growth mindset, is passionate and committed to lifelong learning, and has an understanding of contemporary learning and teaching practice.</p><p>Becoming a member of Galilee Regional Catholic Primary School means you will be a part of the learning journey and ongoing development of our vibrant community where collaboration and team participation are essential.</p><p>Galilee is an integral part of the faith community of South Melbourne and is governed under the authority of Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools Limited (MACS) ABN 18643442371. MACS is the employer of employees at Galilee Regional Catholic Primary School.</p><p>The successful applicant will have experience in teaching a junior classroom.</p><p>Please note, we may employ prior to Monday 22nd July if a suitable candidate applies.</p><p>Salary: AUD80,000 to AUD90,000 - Based on experience in accordance with the Teacher scale of the Victorian Catholic Education Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2018 (VCEMEA).</p><p>As a Child Safe School, Galilee is committed to the safety and welfare of all students and complies with all aspects and legal obligations related to the standards. As such, the child Safety Code of Conduct will need to be signed on employment.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Skills/Experience required (selection criteria)</strong></p><p><strong>Written applications should address the following selection criteria:</strong></p><p>-Knowledge of the Victorian Curriculum and Religious Education Framework to integrate and deliver a differentiated curriculum to a range of educational abilities.</p><p>-Use student data to tailor curriculum to meet the individual needs of students.</p><p>-Clear understanding of contemporary learning and teaching practices and possess and an understanding of STEM based Inquiry learning.</p><p>-Work collaboratively as part of a team.</p><p>-Foster and develop appropriate professional relationships with students, staff and parents.</p><p>-Be open to feedback and view yourself as a lifelong learner.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Special Requirements</strong></p><p>-Accreditation to teach Religious Education or be prepared to undertake such accreditation should the position become longer term.</p><p>-Victorian Institute of Teaching registration.</p><p>-Applications must include the names and contact details of three current referees, including current Principal or fourth year supervising teacher.</p><p>Note: MACS is committed to the safety, wellbeing, and protection of all children in our care.
