The Group Finance Manager supports CENT in the delivery of quality governance and financial sustainability. The role is responsible for the financial integrity, financial reporting and compliance with relevant legislative requirements of CEO as the approved authority for Catholic Schools in the Northern Territory.

Please apply and join our Finance Team of Catholic Education in Northern Territory (CENT),</p><p><strong>The Organisation:</strong></p><p>CENT includes a network of 18 schools in the Northern Territory (five colleges, seven primary schools, one flexible learning centre and five remote schools), Early Learning Centres and the Catholic Education head office (CEO) located in Berrimah.</p><p><strong>The Role:</strong></p><p>The Group Finance Manager supports CENT in the delivery of quality governance and financial sustainability. The role is responsible for the financial integrity, financial reporting and compliance with relevant legislative requirements of CEO as the approved authority for Catholic Schools in the Northern Territory. The role collaborates with school finance managers and is critical for financial monitoring and the financial integrity across CENT (CEO and schools).</p><p><strong>The Team:</strong></p><p>This role reports to the Chief Financial Officer, manages Financial Accountants / Officers, Business Managers, Manager Financial Projects and Grants Accountant and works alongside Finance Managers.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Designing and implementing financial management plans, procedures and policies for the efficient and effective financial management of the Group with strong internal controls.</li><li>Contributing to the financial leadership of Catholic Education NT and providing professional support and advice and presenting these for decision making.</li><li>Oversight of statutory and compliance accounting for CEO.</li><li>Designing of accounting structures resulting in efficient, effective processes with streamlined reporting within the realms of the accounting software (Technology One).</li><li>Management of grant funding distribution to schools.</li><li>Group consolidation for CEO and schools.</li><li>Budget Management at CEO level and overall CENT Group budget including management of funding distribution model.</li><li>Responsible for the ACNC obligations.</li><li>Overseeing of CEO audit and collaborating with the School Services Finance Team to plan, prepare for and coordinate the financial statements for the Group.</li><li>Providing timely periodic financial reports with insightful analysis into results, highlighting any emerging risks that need to be addressed. Reviewing performance against budgets, forecasts, and key drivers of financial performance. Assisting the CFO in the preparation of the Finance, Risk Resource Committee report.</li><li>Managing overall team performance, including leading and developing of staff.</li><li>Cost centre reporting and mentoring of non-finance business managers.</li></ul><p><strong>Essential Criteria:</strong></p><p>The essential criteria required to achieve the outcomes in the context of this position can be found in the attached detailed position description (within the job attachments section).
