The Early Childhood Educator will work as a part of a team striving for excellence in teaching and learning, where relationships and partnerships are nurtured and respected, and where children feel safe and develop a strong sense of identity.&nbsp;For this position, we require an Educator who has a <u>Diploma</u>.</p><p><strong>Benefits and Opportunities</strong></p><ul><li>A positive and collaborative workplace culture</li><li>Access to salary packaging, including novated leasing</li><li>24 weeks of paid parental leave (maternity/adoption)</li><li>Up to 14 weeks of paid parental leave (paternity/non-initial primary carer leave)</li></ul><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Contribute to the planning, implementing and evaluating a high-quality preschool program guided by the Early Years Learning Framework in collaboration with the classroom teacher.</li><li>Contribute to daily routines, in open communication with the classroom teacher and other team members.</li><li>Collect observational data for individual children and/or groups of children for programming and planning purposes.</li><li>Work collaboratively and respectfully with all members of the ELC team.</li><li>Ensure the health and safety of all the children while at the Centre through modelling good practice.</li><li>Engage and communicate with children in a positive manner, giving each child attention and appropriate comfort as required.</li><li>Work within the Education and Care National Quality Framework including National Law, Regulations and National Quality Standards.</li><li>Understand and work according to the Centre’s policies and procedures.</li><li>Participate in ongoing staff professional development and appraisal programs.</li><li>Attend and participate in ELC staff meetings and contribute to the development of the centre’s Quality Improvement plan.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Must hold a relevant Working with Vulnerable Children registration</li><li>Diploma in Children’s Services qualification</li><li>Certificates in First Aid (HLTAID004) &amp; Asthma and Anaphylaxis</li></ul><p><strong>Essential Criteria</strong></p><ol><li>The ability to provide high quality care for all children at the Centre.</li><li>Active participation as a team member and a commitment to an inclusive working environment.</li><li>A commitment to developing positive relationships with families.</li><li>An ability to create and provide a challenging and nurturing environment that encourages a love of learning and celebrates the uniqueness of each child.</li><li>A commitment to maintaining confidentiality with staff, families and children.&nbsp;</li><li>A commitment to development and improvement within the field of Early Childhood education.</li></ol><p><i>Please refer to the role description for an in-depth detail regarding the criteria and skill set required.&nbsp;</i><br>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Other Eligibility Criteria</strong></p><ul><li>You must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident to be eligible to apply for this position.</li><li>Appointment is subject to satisfactory employment screening for child-related employment in accordance with CECG policy.</li></ul><p><strong>Application Process</strong></p><p>Applications are invited from interested candidates able to demonstrate a commitment to the vision of Catholic Education.</p><p>Applicants are required to submit a cover letter and current resume including a statement of suitability against the skills, attributes and experience as outlined in the position description.</p><p>This position involves working with children.
