<p><strong>Location:</strong> Catholic Education Office, Wollongong</p><p>The Director of Schools, Diocese of Wollongong, invites applications from two experienced administrative professionals for the full time positions of Senior Administrative Officer, in the Improvement, Learning and Wellbeing (ILW) service area. Each role will support different teams within ILW, providing specialised administrative support and contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the broader ILW service area.&nbsp;</p><p>WHY WORK FOR CATHOLIC EDUCATION IN THE DIOCESE OF WOLLONGONG (CEDoW)?</p><p>We offer:&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Excellent professional and leadership development programs, tailored to your needs</li><li>An environment that encourages innovation and collaboration through education</li><li>A platform to contribute to the life, mission and work of the Catholic faith community</li><li>Flexible Working Opportunities</li><li>Competitive Remuneration</li><li>Salary Packaging</li></ul><p>ABOUT THE ROLES:&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Position 1: Senior Administrative Officer - Improvement, Learning and Wellbeing (</strong>ILW)&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>This position works under the direction of the Executive Assistant, to the Deputy Director, ILW and closely with other key stakeholders to achieve strategic and operational outcomes in relation to administrative functions within the Catholic Education Office.</p><p>More specifically, the role supports the functions and operation of the Heads of Continuous Catholic School Improvement, Manager - ILW, Senior Professional Officer - ILW and the Executive Assistant to the Deputy Director - by performing a diversified range of advanced professional support and administrative functions and duties.</p><p><strong>Position 2: Senior Administrative Officer - Wellbeing and Student Support</strong> <i>(part of the Improvement, Learning and Wellbeing service area)</i></p><p>This position works under the direction of the Head of Wellbeing and Student Support (WSS) and closely with Senior Professional Officer, WSS and the broader team by supporting the delivery of high-quality professional and administrative services.&nbsp; More specifically the role will manage day-to-day administrative functions, oversee a small team of administrative staff, coordinate meetings, maintain records and facilitate financial transactions.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>SELECTION CRITERIA FOR BOTH ROLES:</p><ul><li>Modelling Catholic values by providing a welcoming, cooperative and accessible reception service for Catholic Education in the Diocese of Wollongong. The position requires a sophisticated understanding and commitment to the mission of Catholic Education within the evangelising mission of the Church.</li><li>Working collaboratively with staff across the ILW service area to support the ILW function to help deliver the organisation’s strategic goals.</li><li>Contributing to the implementation of the Vision and Strategic Plan of CEDoW as stated in <i>Lighting The Way</i>.</li><li>Executing day-to-day administrative support for key ILW personnel, through the scheduling of meetings, managing calendars document preparation (agendas, presentations etc), taking meeting minutes and maintaining accurate records.</li><li>Assisting in the planning and organising of events, workshops and meetings, including venue bookings, catering and audio-visual requirements.</li><li>Providing document management and electronic filing support to the key ILW personnel and the broader ILW service area.</li></ul><p>ABOUT YOU:&nbsp;</p><p>The successful applicant will have:</p><ul><li>A track record of success in a senior administrative role with at least 5 yrs experience (in a school, educational or similar setting will be highly regarded).</li><li>excellent attention to detail with a strong focus on data integrity.&nbsp;</li><li>the ability to work independently and collaborate, adopting a cooperative approach to working within the team.</li><li>exceptional organisational skills with the ability to meet priorities and deadlines.</li><li>capacity to use appropriate discretion with a high level of sensitivity and confidentiality.</li><li>proficiency and experience in Google applications and MS Office suite of applications, including Word and Excel.</li><li>excellent written and oral communication skills.</li><li>a positive approach and a ‘solutions focus’.</li></ul><p>Qualifications:</p><ul><li>Cert IV in Business Administration or similar</li><li>Capacity to use ICT applications with a high degree of competency</li></ul><p>WORKING WITH CHILDREN CLEARANCE</p><p>This role is classified as child related work and therefore we require a working with children clearance to be completed prior to your commencement with us.</p><p>HOW TO APPLY:&nbsp;</p><p>Applicants are to complete an online application which asks to briefly address the essential criteria (the dot points in the ‘ABOUT YOU’ section of this position advertisement).
