We are looking for a guitar tutor to teach one to one private lessons to guitar students of all abilities.

<p>We are looking for a guitar tutor to teach one to one private lessons to guitar students of all abilities. <br />A capability to teach electric bass guitar students from beginner to an intermediate level is also a key requirement. </p><p>There are currently 1.5 days of work available with potential for further expansion in our rapidly growing instrumental program. </p><p>Lessons can take place on any day of the week.</p><p>Remuneration is based on Victorian Music Teacher’s Association (VMTA) rates.</p><p>De La Salle College is an integral part of the faith community of Malvern and Malvern East.  De La Salle College is governed under the authority of Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools Limited (MACS). MACS is the employer of employees at De La Salle College. </p><p>We seek candidates with strong teamwork abilities, effective classroom management skills, and a dedicated commitment to the values of Catholic Education.</p><p><strong><u>Job Description:</u></strong></p><p>Your primary responsibilities will include:</p><ul><li>Choosing, arranging, preparing, and organising materials to facilitate motivation, enjoyment and learning for each student </li><li>Participating in rehearsals, concerts and workshops as required</li><li>Set and maintain high expectations related to the standards of student performance</li><li>Preparing for and teaching individual and/or group lessons within the College</li><li>Monitoring, recording and reporting verbally, in written form and using technology, on the continuous progress of each student</li><li>Collaborating with members of a vibrant Music Department </li><li>Provide students with a child-safe environment</li><li>Be familiar and comply with the school&#39;s Child Safety Staff Code of Conduct</li><li>Commitment to ongoing professional learning and continually strive to improve teaching and learning strategies</li></ul><p><strong><u>Skills/Experience Required:</u></strong></p><p>We require the following qualifications and qualities in the ideal candidate:</p><ul><li>Formal qualifications in Music Performance and significant teaching experience in high school environments required </li><li>Formal Education qualifications (including VIT Registration) an advantage but not required.</li><li>An ability to develop and maintain professional and caring relationships with students and colleagues.</li><li>An eagerness to learn</li><li>An enthusiasm to implement a differentiated curriculum and use modern technology to support student learning.</li><li>Experience in a similar role is advantageous </li></ul><p><strong><u>Special Requirements:</u></strong></p><ul><li>De La Salle College promotes the safety, wellbeing, and inclusion of all children; therefore, the successful applicant must demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to providing a safe environment for children.</li><li>The successful applicant will hold a Working with Children Check and Police Check.</li><li>Contact details of two referees. </li></ul><p>Join our passionate team at De La Salle College and contribute to nurturing young minds in a supportive and thriving educational community.
