An exciting and rewarding opportunity exists at St Mary's Cathedral College for an innovative, proactive and passionate School Support Officer to join our team. This is a permanent part-time position, 2 days per week.

<p>An exciting and rewarding opportunity exists at St Mary&#39;s Cathedral College for an innovative, proactive and passionate School Support Officer to join our front office administration team. </p><p>This is an ongoing part-time position, 2-days per week, Thursday and Friday (open to review) during term-time only, commencing July 2024.</p><p>The role of the School Support Officer will work collaboratively with the College Support Staff team, teachers, students and parents. You will be a strong team player supporting our values and mission, and contributing to the effective business administration of our school. </p><p><strong>Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:</strong></p><ul><li>Student Services: A main point of contact for all College students</li><li>Interacting positively with a helpful and cooperative approach to students, parents and staff</li><li>A key point of contact for telephone enquiries, and provide excellent customer service to all stakeholders</li><li>College student attendance data, communicating with absentees; updating and maintaining College’s Compass system with student information</li><li>Provide frontline support service, in identifying and resolving student concerns and issues, ensuring that the necessary referrals are made efficiently and professionally</li><li>Management of Excursion/Event notifications via Compass. As well as, preparing and supplying first aid kits and any relevant medical requirements for all off-site activities and events, including sport</li><li>Management of students sick bay and liaising with parents for student pick-up</li><li>General administration duties as required</li></ul><p><strong>Essential criteria:</strong></p><ul><li>A flexible and service orientated approach</li><li>Commitment to the mission of Catholic Education</li><li>Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Experience in administration/professional support in a fast-paced setting</li><li>High organisational and time management skills, with the capacity to multitask, whilst maintaining attention to detail</li><li>The ability to work autonomously with minimal direction</li><li>Highly organised with the ability to balance and resolve conflicting priorities and work to deadlines</li><li>Demonstrate experience in dealing appropriately with highly confidential and sensitive information</li><li>Competence and confidence in using a variety of software programs including Google platform, MS Office. Compass desirable but not essential</li><li>A current First Aid Certificate or the willingness to obtain.</li></ul><p>This position is classified as child related employment.
