St Paul Apostle South Endeavour Hills is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Art teacher to join our school. The position will commence the week beginning Monday 15th July 2024 and will be for the remainder of the school year with the possibility of ongoing. You will be joining a school community who are committed to improving the learning opportunities for every student.

<p><strong>General</strong></p><ul><li>Promote Child Safety practices throughout the school community, reinforcing St Paul Apostle South’s commitment to ensuring that the wellbeing of children in our care will always be our first priority.</li><li>Promote, that through the school’s child safety policies, the school has zero tolerance to child abuse.</li><li>Contribute to a healthy and safe work environment for yourself and others and comply with all safe work policies and procedures</li><li>Maintain currency of first aid, mandatory reporting and anaphylaxis training</li><li>Attend pro-rata staff meetings, professional learning opportunities and relevant after school activities as required</li><li>Participate in duty supervision as rostered and other supervision duties when required</li><li>Demonstrate professional and collegiate relationships with colleagues</li><li>Uphold the professional standards expected of a teacher</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Role Description</strong></p><ul><li>Implement a comprehensive P- 6 Art Programme.</li><li>Provide students with a rich and rewarding Visual Art experience with a focus on active participation that encourages self expression and artistic exploration.</li><li>Understand the content of the Visual Art curriculum and create learning approaches that engage students, enhancing and enabling each child to learn.</li><li>Impart the history of art through the use of artists, past and present.</li><li>Organise exhibitions and displays across the curriculum.</li><li>Be committed to regular ongoing professional development.</li><li>Order and maintain art supplies.</li><li>Use purposeful assessment that provides data to drive and plan future teaching.</li><li>Work collaboratively with the other specialist teachers especially for school events.</li></ul>
