<p>The Alice Springs Steiner School has a job opportunity for a creative, enthusiastic Class Teacher to commence employment, immediately. This Class Teacher will be Release Teacher till the end of the 2024 school year before stepping in to become the Class 1 Teacher in January 2025. </p><p>This is a great opportunity for a qualified teacher to get experience across the school and insight into Steiner education if they are not a Steiner trained teacher. The successful applicant will be passionate about education. They will understand Steiner pedagogy and have a willingness to learn more. </p><p>In 2025, The Class 1 Teacher will take primary academic and pastoral responsibility for, and care of, a primary class of students. The school asks for a teaching commitment of at least 3 years with a view to continuing with the class to the end of class 7 (or part thereof) as negotiated with the principal. </p><p>The Alice Springs Steiner School Class Teacher is supported by an experienced Teacher Assistant and release specialists. A Learning Support Coordinator also supports the teacher and individual students with diverse learning needs.</p>
