MACS is the employer of employees at De La Salle College. </p><p>We seek candidates with strong teamwork abilities, effective classroom management skills, and a dedicated commitment to the values of Catholic Education and contemporary pedagogues.</p><p><strong><u>Job Description:</u></strong></p><p>Your primary responsibilities will include:</p><ul><li>Creating a child-safe environment for students.</li><li>Adhering to the school&#39;s Child Protection Policy and Child Safety Staff Code of Conduct.</li><li>Collaborating with various stakeholders, such as Class/House Mentors, Education Support Team, Year Level/House Coordinators, School Psychologists, and Directors of Students, to monitor student progress and well-being.</li><li>Providing timely marking and feedback to student work.</li><li>Ensuring up-to-date student data management systems.</li><li>Developing and delivering programs that leverage technology to enhance learning.</li><li>Setting and maintaining high expectations for student performance standards.</li><li>Complying with ongoing professional development requirements as per VIT guidelines.</li><li>Identifying personal professional learning needs and participating in the annual Professional Learning Plan process.</li><li>Actively engaging in internal and external professional development to enhance teaching practices.</li><li>Utilizing a variety of teaching methods and resources to effectively engage students in their learning journey.</li></ul><p><strong><u>Skills/Experience Required:</u></strong></p><p>We require the following qualifications and qualities in the ideal candidate:</p><ul><li>Bachelor of Education or relevant tertiary qualification.</li><li>Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration.</li><li>A strong commitment to Catholic education.</li><li>Ability to build and maintain professional and caring relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.</li><li>Skills to create an engaging, educational, and challenging learning environment that caters to the diverse needs of all students.</li><li>An eagerness to learn and grow in the field of education.</li><li>Proficiency in implementing a differentiated curriculum and leveraging modern technology to support student learning.</li></ul><p><strong><u>Special Requirements:</u></strong></p><p>At De La Salle College, the safety, well-being, and inclusion of all children are paramount. Therefore, the successful applicant must demonstrate a clear understanding of and commitment to providing a safe environment for children.</p><p>The successful applicant must hold a valid Victorian Institute of Teaching registration.
