We have an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified and enthusiastic teacher to join a vibrant and dedicated staff as a Learning Community Teacher in Year 2 to begin in later Term 3, 2024.

<p>St Mary MacKillop Catholic Primary School is seeking a replacement teacher to join the Year 2 Learning Community to start towards the end of term 3 2024.  The date can be negotiated. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to have a handover with the current teacher before they begin.</p><p>The position will be for 12 months with the possibility of an extension to this time.</p><p>Applications are invited from beginning and experienced teachers to join a team dedicated to achieving engaging learning experiences that challenge children to achieve their personal best. We are seeking enthusiastic and hardworking team players who will be able to create curriculum, manage change and support students in a developing environment.</p><p>The successful applicants need to be able to demonstrate how they can inspire the children in their care and communicate their passion. </p><p>It is expected that the successful applicants will:</p><ul><li>be committed to the values and ethos of the Catholic education system and be able to embed these values into their teaching</li><li>have a knowledge and experience with the Science of Learning in the classroom setting </li><li>be highly motivated, committed, positive, friendly and enthusiastic    </li><li>have knowledge and experience of the Victorian Curriculum, current educational thinking and evidence based learning</li><li>be able to communicate frequently and sensitively with families and successfully engage them in the instructional program</li><li>have the ability to be a collaborative contributor within a team focussed learning community   </li><li>be able to build positive relationships with children and create learning environments where all are valued and challenged</li><li>have an understanding of Faith Life Inquiry</li><li>have the capacity to cater effectively for a diverse range of learning needs</li><li>be committed to professional learning and ongoing improvement through a process of reflective practice and feedback</li><li>be able to embed ICT into classroom practice</li></ul><p>This community of St Mary MacKillop is committed to the safety, wellbeing and protection of all children in our care.
