Learning Support Officer (co-educator) role. Six months fixed term with the possibility of further work in 2025. 2 hours daily, with additional hours available for a good fit candidate.

<p>Learning Support Officer (co-educator).</p><p>In partnership with our children, staff, parents, parish and the wider community, Holy Cross Primary School gives witness to the Christian faith in our Catholic tradition. We value connection, collaboration and creative thinking. </p><p>This is a fixed-term position classified under the 2022 CEMEA as Education Support Category B (dependent on prior experience and skills). The hours of employment for this position will be 10 hours spread over five days, with up to 20 hours available for a suitable candidate. Preference will be given to applicants with recent previous experience in an Education Support Officer/Learning Support Officer role in a primary school setting or applicants currently studying teaching in a Bachelor of Education undergraduate degree course.</p><p><strong>This position will commence on Monday, July 22, 2024.</strong></p><p><strong>Special Requirements</strong></p><p>- understanding of wellbeing strategies to support learning</p><p>- experience in and practical understanding of differentiated learning whereby all students within a classroom can learn effectively, regardless of differences in ability</p><p>- a passion for building strong partnerships between our families and school</p><p>- a willingness to be open and responsive to new learning</p><p>- Certificate III or IV qualification in Educational Support or equivalent (preferred)</p><p>Please note, that an appointment may be made prior to the closing date if a suitable applicant has been identified as fulfilling the requirements of the school and the position.</p><p><i>The successful applicant will be subject to a Working with Children Check and must comply with the school’s Code of Conduct and Child Safe Policy.</i></p><p>Holy Cross Primary School is a Child Safe environment.
