The role of the CSA is to provide in class support and collaborate with Teachers to provide the require targeted programs and assistance to students.</p><p><strong>Benefits and Opportunities&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>A positive and collaborative workplace culture&nbsp;</li><li>24 weeks of paid parental leave (maternity/adoption)&nbsp;</li><li>Up to 14 weeks of paid parental leave (paternity/non-initial primary carer leave)&nbsp;</li><li>Support for professional development and study opportunities&nbsp;</li><li>Opportunities to transfer to other schools within the Archdiocese across ACT and NSW to support lifestyle choice</li></ul><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Support the Classroom Teachers and students with day-to-day activities&nbsp;</li><li>Keep confidential, matters relating to students and their families and matters within the classroom and school.</li><li>Demonstrate initiative, liaise, and work collaboratively with Classroom Teachers to provide learning support for students.</li><li>Support students by listening, directing, explaining, reassuring, encouraging, re-directing, and reinforcing.</li><li>Prepare specialised learning materials as directed by the Classroom Teacher and/or Diverse Learning Coordinator.</li><li>Support students in whole school activities such as sporting events and attend professional learning and staff spirituality days. &nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>Current Working with Vulnerable People registration.&nbsp;</li><li>Relevant Qualifications in Education Support (Cert III/Certificate IV/Diploma) is beneficial.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Selection Criteria&nbsp;</strong></p><ol><li>A willingness to contribute to the community life of the school.</li><li>An ability to assist in the implementation of an effective model of service to support teachers in the classroom</li><li>Experience working with high needs students and/or training would be an advantage.</li></ol><p><i>Please refer to the position description for in-depth details regarding the position duties, criteria, and skill set required.</i></p><p><strong>Other Eligibility Criteria&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>You must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident to be eligible to apply for this position.&nbsp;</li><li>Appointment is subject to satisfactory employment screening for child-related employment in accordance with CECG policy.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Application Process&nbsp;</strong><br>Applicants are required to submit a cover letter and current resume including a statement of suitability against the skills, attributes, and experience as outlined in the Position Description.&nbsp;</p><p>This position involves working with children.
