The Office Manager is primarily responsible for the reception of visitors to the school, phone reception duties, enrolments, and supporting the school's administrative responsibilities.&nbsp;This role is currently 57 hours per fortnight across 4 days per week and the days/hours are negotiable depending on the successful applicant.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Benefits and Opportunities</strong></p><ul><li>A positive and collaborative workplace culture</li><li>24 weeks of paid parental leave (maternity/adoption)</li><li>Up to 14 weeks of paid parental leave (paternity/non-initial primary carer leave)</li><li>Support for professional development and study opportunities</li></ul><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Always maintain a high level of confidentiality</li><li>Answer the telephone and distribute messages at the appropriate time</li><li>Care for and comfort of sick or distressed students and administer and record first aid where required</li><li>Administer and record medication for students as per medical plans or parent permissions</li><li>Maintain a medical room and first aid stocks as required, ensuring medication is stored safely</li><li>Collect and distribute the school mail</li><li>Attend to and welcome visitors to the school</li><li>Attend to the Principal’s correspondence as required</li><li>Prepare and distribute notes as required</li><li>Update the website in collaboration with the Principal, Assistant Principal and ICT Coordinators</li><li>Prepare enrolment packs, correspondence and arrange interviews for new enrolments</li><li>Attend opening evenings twice a year</li><li>Collate parent information pack for Kindergarten Orientation Day</li><li>Attend to any other administrative matters as directed by the Principal or Assistant Principal</li><li>Prepare, distribute and monitor the return of various school permission forms</li><li>Monitor and distribute school electronic mail</li><li>Maintenance of student and administration files</li><li>Extraction and designing of specialist reports (e.g., REC, Sports Coordinator) from data</li><li>Attend meetings as required</li><li>Assist the School Community Council</li><li>Applying inventory and purchasing control procedures for the front office</li><li>Implementing enrolment processes and maintenance of student database</li><li>Coordinating school functions and events</li><li>Assisting with the induction of new staff including casual teachers</li><li>Training, professional development and technical support</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Completed first Aid certificate (preferable)</li><li>ACT Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Essential Criteria</strong></p><ol><li>Proven professional experience and working knowledge with computer software packages including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and school programs and databases such as Compass.</li><li>The willingness and ability to learn new systems.</li><li>Excellent time management skills, attention to detail and good communication and interpersonal skills with a courteous and cooperative approach.</li><li>The willingness to attend professional development and meetings as required and contribute to staff and community events.</li><li>An ability to maintain strict confidentiality and work individually or collegially as part of a dynamic front-office team.</li><li>An ability to work with students and their families and to provide First Aid.</li><li>Additionally, to be successful in this role you will hold a Working with Vulnerable People card and either have, or be prepared to obtain, Apply First Aid qualification.</li></ol><p><i>Please refer to the position description for an in-depth detail regarding the position duties, criteria and skill set required.</i></p><p><strong>Other Eligibility Criteria</strong></p><ul><li>You must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident to be eligible to apply for this position.&nbsp;<br>Appointment is subject to satisfactory employment screening for child-related employment in accordance with CECG policy.</li></ul><p><strong>Application Process</strong></p><p>Applications are invited from interested candidates able to demonstrate a commitment to the vision of Catholic Education.</p><p>Applicants are required to submit a cover letter and current resume including a statement of suitability against the skills, attributes and experience as outlined in the position description.</p><p>This position involves working with children.
