<p>DIVERSE LEARNING TEACHER</p><p>Full Time to commence Term 3 2024 (22nd July)</p><p>Closing Date for Applications: Close of business 28th June 2024</p><p>St Vincent’s College is an independent day and boarding school offering a contemporary Catholic education for girls in years 7-12. It is hard to define but easy to feel, and includes a sense of optimism, cheerfulness, and a good dose of individuality.</p><p>The College is currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic HSIE Classroom Teacher with strong interpersonal and organisational skills to join our Diverse Learning Department. The role of the Diverse Learning Teacher works across Years 7-12 to support the teaching and learning of students who have been identified as having specific learning needs. They will work closely with academic staff to develop targeted literacy and numeracy support for students and work with identified students on both Enrichment programs and in Life Skills programmes. </p><p>The successful applicant must:</p><ul><li>Hold relevant tertiary qualifications and accreditation to teach in NSW</li><li>Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the NESA HSIE syllabi</li><li>Have the ability to work collaboratively with classroom teacher in designing learning activities and supporting individuals or small groups of students during class time</li><li>Work 1:1 with identified students to unpack and scaffold learning tasks.</li><li>Support the development of targeted literacy and numeracy skills specific to the student.</li><li>Manage Independent Plans (IPs) and Learner Profiles (LPs) including conducting routine assessment and updating IPs and LPs in consultation with the Head of Diverse Learning</li><li>Assist students with study skills and organisational needs. </li><li>Foster the use and implementation of new technologies to support learning of students with diverse needs.</li><li>Develop and update IPs and LPs in consultation with the Head of Diverse Learning.</li><li>High level of administrative skills to manage student documentation, analyse student data and contribute to collation of documents in line with NCCD, NESA etc as needed.</li><li>Ability to coordinate with staff, parents and students in the design and delivery of programmes that support student engagement in learning</li></ul><p>This is an onsite position, 5 days a week at the College.</p><p>Child Protection legislation requires that, as the preferred applicant of a position classified as child-related employment, you must meet the requirements of the <strong>&#96;Working with Children Check.”</strong></p><p><strong>Additional Benefits include: </strong></p><ul><li>Free morning tea feast for all staff every Friday.</li><li>Central Sydney location, within 5 minute walk to Kings Cross station and some of Sydney’s best cafes </li></ul><p>To apply for the position please:</p><p>Please complete Application Form on the St Vincent’s website, Cover Letter, CV, transcripts of qualifications, WWCC number and contact details of three referees should be sent by email to : <a href="mailto:hr&#64;stvincents.nsw.edu.au" rel="nofollow">hr&#64;stvincents.nsw.edu.au</a></p><p><i>St Vincent’s College is an equal opportunity employer.
