Teachers within the Diocese are responsible to the Principal and shares in the learning and teaching of subject matters to students of the school community. Teachers are responsible for delivering high quality contemporary learning and teaching for the community they serve which is embedded in the Catholic world view. It is a collaborative ministry of witness and service and part of the evangelising mission of the Church.

We welcome applications from qualified teachers with a proven ability to effectively support and elevate the educational achievements of students with additional learning needs.</p><p><strong>Specifically, you will:</strong></p><ul><li>Structure lessons to meet the physical, social and intellectual development and characteristics of your students&nbsp;</li><li>Create and maintain a safe, inclusive and challenging learning environment and implement fair and equitable behaviour management plans</li><li>Work collaboratively to develop and implement programs for diverse learning needs</li><li>Develop personalised learning plans for vulnerable students.&nbsp;</li><li>Identify, monitor and record the progress of vulnerable students.&nbsp;</li><li>Diagnose learning challenges and develop strategies to enable effective learning</li><li>Provide an extensive pedagogical knowledge base and understanding of how the identified subject areas are learned, what affects students’ opportunities to learn the subject matter and how the learning and teaching of the subject matter can be enhanced.</li><li>Work creatively and constructively within a range of stakeholders to set achievable goals for students.&nbsp;</li><li>Model inclusive teaching practices&nbsp;</li><li>Assist with the delivery of professional learning opportunities for all staff&nbsp;</li><li>Perform specific tasks as directed by the Principal or delegate.&nbsp;</li></ul><p>Applicants are requested to submit a comprehensive application, which should include a cover letter addressing the position criteria, transcripts of qualifications, professional experience reports (if applicable), and the names of three professional referees.
