<p>Loreto College Ballarat is a young and vibrant rowing club involving over 80 students and a supportive parent community. In 2024, we achieved wonderful success throughout our program including the Ballarat Head of the Lake Premiership Cup for best girls school as well as several medals at Head of School Girls regatta in Geelong.</p> <p>We are now recruiting the following casual roles in our program: Junior Lead Coach - Rowing, Intermediate Lead Coach - Rowing and Rowing Program Administrator to commence in<strong> Term 3, 2024</strong>.</p> <p><strong>About the roles</strong></p> <p><i><strong>Junior Lead Coach - Rowing</strong></i></p> <p><i><strong>Intermediate Lead Coach - Rowing</strong></i></p> <p>Working approximately 8 hours per week Monday to Friday (plus weekend work for camps and regattas), the Lead Coaches will be required to lead the operational and support components of the Junior and Intermediate programs including implementing all aspects of the training schedule and be present at all training sessions.</p> <p>In making these appointments, the College is seeking applicants who, among other qualities, can demonstrate:</p> <ul> <li>Previous experience/background in the sport of Rowing.</li> <li>At least 3 years experience in leading a team of coaches and coaching a squad of students.</li> <li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.</li> <li>Demonstrated interest in the empowerment of young people.</li> <li>Willingness to develop or implement programs or activities that focus on the wellbeing, empowerment, and overall development of young people.</li> <li>Level 2 rowing Victoria Coach accreditation.</li> <li>Minimum of Level 3 First Aid and Anaphylaxis and Asthma training</li> </ul> <p><i><strong>Rowing Program Administrator</strong></i></p> <p>Working approximately 10 - 15 hours a week (dependent on the seasonal needs of the program), the Rowing Program Administrator will assist the coaching staff with the coordination of the rowing program. Duties will be varied and may include; maintaining student databases, preparing communication for parents and students, coordinating training schedules and rosters and preparation for regattas and camps.</p> <p>The College is seeking applicants who, among other qualities, can demonstrate:</p> <ul> <li>Previous experience/background in the sport of Rowing.</li> <li>Excellent customer service skills with a positive and pro-active attitude.&nbsp;</li> <li>Strong attention to detail/compliance and a focus on taking action to close out tasks.</li> <li>Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage priorities and tasks.</li> <li>Experience working in a busy, fast-paced environment would be advantageous.</li> <li>Proven proficiency in MS Office Suite.</li> <li>An ability to foster positive relationships with students, families, and staff members and work collaboratively.&nbsp;</li> <li>Minimum of Level 3 First Aid and Anaphylaxis and Asthma training</li> </ul> <p><strong>Successful applicants must hold or be willing to acquire a Working with Children Check card and a National Police Record Check before employment.</strong></p> <p>For further information on how to apply please refer to the College website.
