<p>Kolbe Catholic College is seeking an experienced and dedicated Director of Students: Senior Years. This leadership role is crucial for guiding and supporting our Year 11 and 12 students, ensuring their wellbeing, safety, and holistic development. The Director will report directly to the Principal through the Deputy Principal – Students and will play an integral role in our College Leadership Team, promoting pastoral care that reflects the shared vision and values of our Catholic community.</p><p><strong>Position Classification</strong></p><ul><li>Title: Director of Students: Senior Years</li><li>Appointment By: Principal</li><li>Time Allowance: Minimum of 27 x 50-minute periods per cycle</li><li>Remuneration: Monetary and time allowance above the current POL framework</li><li>Tenure: 3 Years (January 2025 to January 2028)</li><li>Review: Performance review conducted mid-way through the tenure period, based on self and peer appraisal</li></ul><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Support and promote the Catholic ethos of the College.</li><li>Lead the College in providing an exemplary learning environment.</li><li>Model a leadership style that supports the Principal’s vision.</li><li>Lead and initiate whole-College improvement.</li><li>Oversee the holistic development of senior students.</li><li>Collaborate with House Leaders and Curriculum Leaders on student pathways and alternative programs.</li><li>Design and oversee a Personal Development Program/Preventative Education for Years 11-12 based on Positive Psychology.</li><li>Lead the implementation of wellbeing programs such as Peer Support, Wellbeing Days, and Year Level Assemblies.</li><li>Provide effective intervention and collaborate with the Counselling team for higher degrees of intervention.</li><li>Promote and practice the College’s values and responsible student behavior procedures through Restorative Practices.</li></ul><p>For a comprehensive list of key responsibilities, please refer to the attached job description.</p><p><strong>Qualifications and Experience</strong></p><ul><li>An appropriate qualification in education is required.</li><li>Postgraduate qualification in educational leadership or another area of education is highly desirable.</li><li>Demonstrated successful experience in educational leadership is highly desirable.</li><li>Accreditation to Teach Religious Education is desirable.</li></ul><p><strong>Application Process</strong></p><p>Please attach your response to the Key Selection Criteria questions found in the job description, along with your resume and cover letter, when submitting your application.</p><p><strong>Applications close: 9am Friday 14th June 2024</strong></p><p>At Kolbe Catholic College, the safety and wellbeing of our students are paramount.
