Permanent position for a suitably qualified and experienced candidate working as a member of the Diverse Learning Team (Wed/Thur/Fri).

<p>Would you like to work in a large, inner city, multicultural Catholic Primary School?  We are seeking an experienced applicant with proven experience to join our Diverse Learning and Intervention Teams.</p><p><strong>ESSENTIAL CRITERIA</strong></p><ul><li>Qualifications in Special Education at a post graduate level (or current involvement in study preferred)</li><li>Commitment to the ethos of the Catholic School and to excellence in teaching and learning</li><li>Possessing a current WWCC</li></ul><p> <strong>ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS</strong></p><ul><li>Excellence in teaching - in particular, with students who have additional learning needs</li><li>Excellent communication skills  </li><li>Effective organisational skills</li><li>Commitment to ongoing professional learning</li><li>The ability to work collaboratively within a team</li><li>Experience in developing and implementing IAPs</li><li>Having a demonstrated capacity to utilise ICT for record keeping and to meet legislative requirements</li><li>Being registered to teach with the <i>Sydney Catholic Schools</i> organisation</li><li>Working alongside teachers to develop programs and interventions that will support the diverse learner.</li></ul><p><strong>The successful applicant will demonstrate</strong>:</p><p> </p><p>A firm knowledge and commitment to the Church’s mission in Catholic Education and personal faith practice<br /> </p><p>An ability to design and implement rigorous and engaging learning to meet the diverse needs of students<br /> </p><p>Knowledge and understanding of K - 6 Curriculum and quality authentic learning pedagogy<br /> </p><p>An ability to effectively use formative and summative assessment techniques<br /> </p><p>Understanding of the use of data to establish challenging learning goals and provide effective feedback to students<br /> </p><p>Excellent classroom management that is proactive in supporting the wellbeing of students<br /> </p><p>An ability to integrate ICT effectively and creatively to provide authentic learning opportunities within a contemporary environment.<br /> </p><p><strong>You will have attained:</strong><br /> </p><p>A Tertiary qualification in Education<br /> </p><p>Eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)<br /> </p><p>Religious Education qualifications<br /> </p><p>Employee ID registration number with Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS) or a commitment to Register to Teach in SCS.</p><p>“SCS welcomes and encourages applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and candidates with diverse backgrounds&#34;.</p><p><strong>Application Process</strong><br /> </p><p>Applications emailed with curriculum vitae to be directed to:</p><p> </p><p>Mrs Karen Lamarre<br /> </p><p>Principal<br /> </p><p>St Therese Catholic Primary<br /> </p><p>43 Sutherland Street Mascot NSW 2020<br /> </p><p>Phone: 02 9667 0188<br /> </p><p>email: sandra.toal&#64;syd.catholic.edu.au<br /> </p>
