Merici College is an IB World School,&nbsp;authorised&nbsp;to offer the Diploma&nbsp;Programme&nbsp;(Years 11-12) and the Middle Years&nbsp;Programme&nbsp;(Years 7-10).&nbsp;</p><p><strong>About the Role&nbsp;</strong></p><p>We are currently seeking a Daily Relief Officer&nbsp;to support the Assistant Principal (Development) and Assistant Principal (Learning) in determining and implementing relief arrangements for College Teaching Staff, including monitoring the absence phone (from 7 am Mon-Fri) and procuring relief staff. The position will also include managing administration and excursions, incursions, teaching staff professional development and all room changes. The successful applicant will also be required to maintain data integrity of the daily organiser timetable database and provide additional support to the Leadership Team.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Benefits and Opportunities</strong>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>A positive and collaborative workplace culture&nbsp;</li><li>24 weeks of paid parental leave (maternity/adoption)&nbsp;</li><li>Up to 14 weeks of paid parental leave (paternity/non-initial primary carer leave)&nbsp;</li><li>Support for professional development and study opportunities&nbsp;</li><li>Opportunities to transfer to other schools within the Archdiocese across ACT and NSW to support lifestyle choices.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Key Responsibilities&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>Initiating and handling correspondence, which may include confidential correspondence</li><li>Manage administration of excursions, incursions, teaching staff professional development and all room changes</li><li>Provide teachers with excursion envelopes for collation and archiving of student permissions and excursion details by Student Services.</li><li>Determine and implement relief arrangements for College Teaching Staff, including monitoring the absence phone and procuring relief staff.</li><li>Use appropriate software to arrange teaching staff relief, using both internal and external relief options, to ensure a teacher is allocated to each lesson and duty of the day.</li><li>Regularly update the Daily Organiser to reflect teacher activities and absences.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Hold a current ACT Working With Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration. (or willingness to obtain one)</li><li>Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)</li></ul><p><strong>Selection Criteria&nbsp;</strong></p><ol><li>Experience working in Front Reception / Customer Service</li><li>Competence in Microsoft Office.</li><li>Demonstrated high standard of communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team</li><li>The capacity to develop and maintain effective and supportive interpersonal relationships with the school community.</li><li>The ability to maintain strict confidentiality and to exercise discretion and sound judgment.</li><li>Demonstrated organisational skills including the ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and use initiative.</li></ol><p><i>Please refer to the position description for in-depth details regarding the position duties, criteria, and skill set required.&nbsp;</i></p><p><strong>Other Eligibility Criteria&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>You must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident to be eligible to apply for this position.&nbsp;</li><li>Appointment is subject to satisfactory employment screening for child-related employment in accordance with CECG policy.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Application Process&nbsp;</strong></p><p>Applicants are required to submit a cover letter and current resume including a statement of suitability against the skills, attributes, and experience as outlined in the Position Description.&nbsp;</p><p>This position involves working with children.
