Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese is looking for Carers/School Assistants to join our Wellbeing team on a casual basis, supporting our Transport to School service.

We are always on the lookout for top talent to help us achieve our strategic goal of inspiring the future, through quality catholic schooling and by strengthening the professional lives of our employees.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>About the opportunity</strong></p><p>The Transport to School service is a wellbeing initiative that supports schools and parents when students are experiencing significant barriers to attending school regularly.&nbsp;We provide a 12 seater bus that collects children from their place of residence and transports them to school.</p><p>Carers/School Assistants would be assisting the driver to ensure our students are travelling safely to school each day.&nbsp;</p><p>The role is offered on a casual basis and operates Monday to Friday from 7:00am - 9:30am within the school term only. Flexible availability (sometimes with short notice) is required to work the morning school runs. More specifically, the successful candidate will be required to:</p><ul><li>Work effectively within a team to ensure efficient transport to school services are provided</li><li>Provide safe transport to and from school for children, some of whom live with a disability</li><li>Have the ability to follow directions, prioritise and meet set deadlines</li><li>Demonstrate interpersonal skills in working with children and other personnel</li><li>Complete record keeping of student information and trips as required</li><li>Support the mission, teachings and ethos of the Catholic Church’s work in schools.<br><br>&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>About you</strong></p><p>The successful applicant will demonstrate alignment to the core purpose and values of CSPD along with:</p><ul><li>Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)</li><li>Experience working in a working with children role.</li><li>Sound computer/technology skills with the ability to use email and smartphones</li><li>Ability to work unsupervised whilst also being an active team member.<br><br>&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Interested?&nbsp;</strong></p><p>This position involves working with children.
