We are looking for an Occupational Therapist to support CSPD's Wellbeing Strategic Intent of improving learning outcomes for all students.

We are always on the lookout for top talent to help us achieve our strategic goal of inspiring the future, through quality catholic schooling and by strengthening the professional lives of our employees.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>About the role</strong></p><p>We are looking for an Occupational Therapist - Mental Health to support CSPD’s Wellbeing Strategic Intent of improving learning outcomes for all students through delivering high quality Occupational Therapy services that focus on student wellbeing.</p><p>More specifically, you will:</p><ul><li>provide evidence based assessments and interventions and be able to support the Sensory Modulation Program self regulation</li><li>provide professional learning to staff of emotion regulation and sensory management,&nbsp;</li><li>consult regarding appropriate calm spaces and sensory tools</li><li>assist student management in regulation</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>To be successful</strong></p><ul><li>Current AHPRA registration and Working with Children Check with Tertiary Qualification in Occupational Therapy</li><li>Provide discipline specific interventions and developmentally appropriate consumer-centred care coordination for children /young people referred to the team and their families/carers/guardian, in collaboration with key stakeholders and the local community eg GPs, CMOs</li><li>Demonstrated knowledge and application of a range of therapeutic approaches for children and adolescents with complex trauma and or developmental and behavioural challenges with sensory and functional difficulties that impact their ability to engage in learning&nbsp;</li><li>Maintain current knowledge and skills related to child and adolescent professional mental health practice through participation in regular clinical supervision, attendance at relevant education and training as agreed in annual PDRs and participation in agreed profession specific forums</li><li>Provide appropriate education, health promotion and prevention for children/young people and their carers/families/guardians, students, colleagues and other interested groups or individuals to enhance understanding and knowledge about mental health.</li><li>Participate in quality activities including service planning and development, clinical audit, practice development projects and research.</li><li>Demonstrated commitment to working collaboratively and have the capacity to negotiate and liaise with parents, carer, external stakeholders and government departments</li><li>High level written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Full Australian Driving Licence (essential)</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;<strong>What You’ll Get</strong></p><ul><li>Diverse, energetic and supportive workplace culture and team</li><li>Competitive salary</li><li>Access to salary packaging options to maximise employee benefits and salary&nbsp;</li><li>Leadership development opportunities&nbsp;&nbsp;<br><br>&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Interested?&nbsp;Apply today!</strong></p><p>The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child-related employment including the completion of a National Police Check, retention of a valid Working with Children Check and adoption and compliance with CSPD’s Child Safeguarding Procedures and Code of Conduct When Working With Students and Children.
