The school has an international feel with 45% of enrolments from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds and currently educates 526 students. Forrest Primary School provides an international style of education and strives to develop learners through inspiring, challenging, and relevant learning experiences to develop global citizens who will make a difference in the world. </p><p>The dedicated staff at Forrest Primary use an inquiry model in which students research, think and reach their own conclusions. The program uses the Australian Curriculum outcomes to explore big concepts, drive deep-thinking, support students to make connections and demonstrate their understanding in a variety of ways. The school builds strong community partnerships and staff culture to develop learners who are confident, emotionally literate, and resilient.</p><p><strong>Eligibility/ Other Requirements: </strong>Prior to commencing in this role a minimum of four years full time (or equivalent) tertiary study leading to the award of a recognised school teaching qualification; a current full teaching registration with the ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) (or eligibility for teacher registration with the ACT TQI) and a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required.
