Strategy Analyst

Work within the dynamic Strategy team and support CECG with strategy development and strategic projects.

Service Areas include Education and Performance Improvement, Catholic Identity, School and Family Services, Strategy and Special Projects, Finance and Infrastructure, Information and Communication Technology and People and Culture. </p><p><strong>About the Role </strong></p><p>This position will be part of the Strategy service area within CECG and will be primarily responsible for assisting the Senior Manager Strategic Planning and Enterprise Reporting including but not limited to strategic planning, enterprise reporting and data insights, enrolments and student demographics and other strategic projects, as well as supporting the strategy development and strategic projects within the service area.</p><p><strong>Benefits and Opportunities </strong></p><ul><li>Positive and collaborative workplace culture </li><li>Permanent contract </li><li>Attractive remuneration package </li><li>24 weeks of paid parental leave (maternity/adoption) </li><li>Up to 14 weeks paid parental leave (paternity/non-initial primary carer leave) </li><li>Support for professional development and study opportunities </li></ul><p><strong>Key Responsibilities </strong></p><p><u>Enterprise Reporting and Performance Measures</u></p><ul><li>Collaborate with all stakeholders to interrogate and analyse business data to provide the senior management team with business intelligence to inform business decision-making in line with the strategic plan.</li><li>Support with the development and delivery of dashboard reporting against key business metrics and generation of key insights.</li><li>Support with the development and maintenance of routine reports and dashboards serving schools and leadership teams within CECG.</li><li>Engage in data governance and data cleansing initiatives.</li></ul><p><u>Enrolment and student demographic data</u></p><ul><li>Support with the regulatory data collections to Australian Government’s Department of Education and state and territory education departments, including Non-Government Schools Census, Student Residential Address Collection and others.</li><li>Support the enrolment team and schools with required data and reports.</li></ul><p><u>Strategic Projects</u></p><ul><li>Support the strategy team on discretionary strategic projects.</li><li>Provide support to the overall strategic initiatives within the Strategy service area.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications </strong></p><ul><li>Tertiary qualifications in Business Studies, Economics or Finance will be an advantage.</li><li>Proven expertise and certifications in business intelligence tools such as Power BI, will be a strong advantage.</li><li>WWVP and WWCC certifications are required.</li></ul><p><strong>Selection Criteria </strong></p><ol><li>Strong statistical and business analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy and within the context of CECG.</li><li>Strong experience in working with business intelligence tools, such as PowerBI.</li><li>Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite, especially MS Excel.</li><li>Proven financial and business acumen, financial planning/analysis skills.</li><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills when dealing with schools and other stakeholders.</li><li>Understanding of project management principles.</li><li>Ability to align to the values of Catholic Education during the course of work and while interacting with all stakeholders.</li></ol><p><i>Please refer to the position description for in-depth details regarding the criteria and skill set required. </i></p><p><strong>Other Eligibility Criteria </strong></p><ul><li>You must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident to be eligible to apply for this position. </li><li>Appointment is subject to satisfactory employment screening for child-related employment in accordance with CECG policy. </li></ul><p><strong>Application Process </strong></p><p>Applicants must submit a cover letter addressing the Skills, Attributes and Experience section in the position description and a current resume. </p><p>For further information about the role and Catholic Education Archdiocese of Canberra & Goulburn please visit the <a href="https://cg.catholic.edu.au/">website</a> and position description. </p><p>If you have any questions about the recruitment process, contact Rebecca Radanovich, People & Culture Officer, on 0475136048 or via email at <a href="mailto:amy.tallon@cg.catholic.edu.au">rebecca.radanovich@cg.catholic.edu.au</a>. </p><p><br><br> </p><p> <a href="https://careers.cg.catholic.edu.au/cw/en/PositionDescriptionDocument/503190/strategy-analyst">Applicant Information Pack</a></p>
