John Paul College is seeking a dynamic and highly organised individual for the role of Communications and Social Media Officer.

<p>John Paul College, Frankston is a Catholic co-educational secondary school with a rich heritage in the traditions of the FCJ sisters and the Marianists.  We believe every student’s success is grounded in quality learning and teaching, and a school culture that fosters wellbeing, promotes resilience and inspires faith in action.</p><p>We are currently seeking applications from suitably qualified candidates to join our Marketing Team in the role of Communications and Social Media Officer. The position will be responsible for the successful, promotion and development of John Paul College through appropriate and effective communication, promotion, public relations and community engagement strategies.</p><p>The successful candidate will:<br /> </p><ul><li>Have proven experience in coordinating and developing communications/marketing materials</li><li>Demonstrate an understanding of communications principles and practices as well as communication platforms; including online, digital and print</li><li>Be experienced writing for a range of platforms including web, social media, media releases and publications</li><li>Have knowledge of using and maintaining digital platforms including website, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc</li><li>Demonstrate experience in photography and videography, including camera operation and video editing for social media</li><li>Be able to interpret and promote the culture of John Paul College and the Catholic ethos into the wider community</li><li>Have highly developed interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to liaise and communicate effectively with people at all levels</li><li>Have exceptional organisational skills</li><li>Possess a calm, friendly and professional manner</li><li>Have the ability to work collaboratively with a team</li><li>Demonstrate an understanding of the ethos of a Catholic school and its mission</li></ul><p>This is a full time position and is classified as a Education Support Employee, Category C with employment conditions as per CEMEA Agreement (2022).</p><p>Applications will close 31 May 2024 at 9am, and should be addressed to our Principal, Mr. John Visentin.
