The Role:
The Assistant Principal - Evangelisation and Catechesis will assist the Principal in their responsibility for educational and religious leadership of the school with particular responsibility for enabling and encouraging the discovery for staff, students and families to know Christ and grow in faith. They will partner with the Assistant Principal – Student Achievement.
Within the local school context this leadership role operationalises the Towards 2025 goals to ensure the St Brigid's school community enjoy the successes of localised school improvement having alignment to systemic achievement.
As a person of deep faith, the Assistant Principal - Evangelisation and Catechesis will establish new and/or strengthen existing school, parish and family connections and relationships.
Leading with Commitment, Compassion and Courage, this role is influential in shaping a collaborative culture of continuous improvement. To create the conditions for students and staff to flourish, the Assistant Principal - Evangelisation and Catechesis works closely with teachers and school leaders supported and guided by CSBB professional staff and instructional leaders.
This role will also oversee Student Wellbeing within the College and manage high level Wellbeing situations It will have supervisory responsibility for the Director of Wellbeing and Year group Leaders of Wellbeing.

Position on COVID-19 vaccinations
Given the current management of risks associated with COVID-19 in the community, and the gradual wind-back of some settings, CSBB has decided to no longer require all staff to be fully vaccinated, effective 19 September 2022. Staff who are not vaccinated will be required to wear masks when working with children at greater risk of serious illness owing to a medical condition and/or physical disability.
