After 8 years of excellent leadership, our current Principal, Mr Mark Ash, has indicated his intention to conclude his term at the end of 2024. The College Board invites applications from well-qualified and experienced applicants who can lead the College into its next phase of development.

<p>Selection Criteria </p><p>The Principal is the CEO and responsible to the Board for overall leadership and management of this K-12, co-educational College. Within the context of the College’s Christian ethos, the Board looks to the Principal to provide high quality, innovative and dynamic leadership in all aspects of College life. </p><ol><li>An active, mature, thoughtful Christian faith demonstrated in the daily practice of a Christian lifestyle and a commitment to Christian education; </li><li>The capacity to translate that faith into the language and experience of parents and students in a way that is attractive, persuasive, not divisive, and yet challenging; </li><li>A love of young people (5-18 years), and a passion for their development; </li><li>A Christ-like, professional demeanour, with excellent oral and written communication and relationship-building skills, accessible to all members of the College community and well able to engage and attract a wide range of families to the College;</li><li>A demonstrated capacity to lead, support and inspire staff and executive teams, working harmoniously with them and collaboratively achieving agreed goals</li><li>A dedication and commitment to value and prioritise pedagogical professional development and support effective curriculum reform.</li><li>A demonstrated capacity to develop and maintain high levels of staff morale as affected by wellbeing, effective conflict resolution, and a capacity to inspire and empower teachers to be effective and dynamic educators;</li><li> High personal and professional resilience and capacity to deal with the multi-faceted nature of leading a diverse community of people.</li><li> A demonstrated ability to lead and manage school improvement in, teaching and learning, student and staff well-being, curriculum and academics, policies, systems and compliance, co-curricular offerings, financial and operational management and change.</li><li>A demonstrated capacity to balance strategic and operational / functional leadership, in an educational context.</li></ol><p>How to apply -  DOWNLOAD EMPLOYMENT PACK - -</p><p>SUBMIT APPLICATION ELECTRONICALLY INCLUDING </p><ul><li>A Curriculum Vitae, listing your personal details, association memberships, qualifications (with certified copies of degrees), relevant experience and other material in support of your application.</li><li>A Professional Statement addressing your capacity to meet each of the selection criteria;</li><li>Your qualifications, personal attributes and background which have prepared you for this role; </li><li>Identify three major challenges facing Australian education (including Christian education) over the next decade and the implications for Charlton Christian College (not more than 2 pages); </li><li>A statement of your own Christian faith and lifestyle, including your church attendance, and how your faith determines or informs your personal philosophy of education; </li><li>Contact details for three referees, including your present Principal or Board Chairman; your current minister/pastor, and one other professional referee; </li><li>Short listed applicants will be required to forward the Confidential Referee Form to a personal and professional referee to be completed within the time frame indicated on the last page of this prospectus; </li><li>Your dreams and aspirations in regard to this position in this school (no more than 500 words); </li><li>Signed copies of the College Statement of Faith (these will be included in the application pack, and; entirely at your own discretion, and not required for consideration for inclusion in a short list, applicants may choose to indicate details of their marital status, family details, date of birth, citizenship, and enclose a recent photograph.
