Assistant Director - Early Learning Centres

We are seeking a dynamic individual for the position of Assistant Director - Early Learning Centres located in St Kilda East and Caulfield South.

</p><p>We are currently seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as Assistant Director of our Early Learning Centres. Mount Scopus Memorial College is a co-educational Jewish School from Early Learning to Year 12 across three campuses; St Kilda East, Caulfield South and Burwood. Our Early Learning Centres (Long Day Care) are based in St Kilda East and Caulfield South. You do not need to be Jewish to apply for this role, but you should have a worldview that is sympathetic to the Jewish ethos.

</p><p>You may not ever have worked in an Early Learning or Education setting before - what we are interested in are your transferable skills - specifically your ability to:
</p><ul><li>Operate within a strict Regulatory and compliance framework (interpret legislation and develop policy, process and procedures to meet the framework)
</li><li>Problem solve - (manage ambiguity, think on your feet, prioritise issues according to their impact and severity)
</li><li>Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, peers, and direct reports. children.

</li></ul><p>This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced leader with 3 to 5+ years’ experience, a proven track record of strong leadership and management experience, and excellent communication skills.
</p><p>As our Early Learning Centres are affiliated with the Primary Years Programme (PYP) of the International Baccalaureate, an understanding of inquiry learning and the PYP would be an advantage for this position, but is not essential.
</p><p>As the Assistant Director of our Early Learning Centre, you will work closely with the Director to ensure the smooth operation of the facility. You will play a pivotal role in managing day-to-day activities, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and directions, and fostering a nurturing environment conducive to children's growth and development. Join us in making a difference in the lives of our youngest learners and helping them to thrive in a nurturing and enriching environment.
</p><p>The successful candidate will have a minimum Bachelor level qualification, either within or outside the education realm. Experience in a role that has involved development of systems, process and procedures would be highly beneficial. You will also have a sound knowledge of the National Law and National Regulations, National Quality Standards and the Early Years Learning Framework, or an ability to get up to speed on these regulations very quickly.
</p><p>The successful applicant will require a Working With Children Check and be willing to obtain a National Police Check.

</li><li>Oversee daily operations, including scheduling, staff supervision, and compliance with regulatory requirements and College policies.
</li><li>Assist in the recruitment, training, and mentoring of early childhood educators, promoting professional growth and excellence within the team.
</li><li>Support the development of positive relationships with families, fostering open communication and partnership in children's learning journey.
</li><li>Understanding and appreciation of Jewish culture, traditions, and values
