Our Lady Help of Christians School seeks applications for a part-time (.2 FTE) classroom teacher, beginning Term 2 2024. The position is open to graduate and experienced teachers with suitable qualifications and VIT registration.

<p>Our Lady Help of Christians School is situated on a large parcel of land on the south-eastern outskirts of Murtoa. Murtoa is a small Wimmera farming community situated 30 kilometres from Horsham with a population of approximately 850. The school grounds have multiple play areas, a vegetable patch, a small football oval, a multipurpose court, and beautiful native gardens and walks. Local artists have contributed to the grounds with sculptures, murals, and other pieces.<br /></p><p>The school is part of the St Paul VI Parish and currently has 28 enrolments across two classrooms (F-3, 4-6). Teachers and support staff provide a personalised education and work with families to address individual needs. </p><p><b>Applicants are asked to address the following key selection criteria:</b><br /></p><p>- Demonstrated classroom teaching capabilities that enable students to achieve their full potential </p><p>- Demonstrated knowledge and application of best practice pedagogy in literacy and numeracy </p><p>- Ability to assess student achievement, monitor progress, and use data to improve learning </p><p>- Ability to develop professional and respectful relationships with students, parents and colleagues, which engender positive attitudes toward learning </p><p>- Demonstrated commitment to the safety and wellbeing of children </p><p><b>The successful applicant will be required to: </b></p><p>- Uphold the vision and mission of the school and Catholic Education </p><p>- Be committed to collaborative and reflective practice </p><p>- Embrace existing school-wide management systems and promote high standards of learning and behaviour </p><p>- Hold VIT registration or be eligible to apply </p><p><br /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p>
