As part of the mission of the Catholic Church in the Diocese of Parramatta, the Wellbeing Transport Officer is accountable for safely transporting students and staff and responding to any issues in a professional manner.

All staff share in the evangelising mission of the Church as they work to bring about a synthesis of faith, life and culture in their communities.</p> <p dir="ltr"><strong>About the opportunity:</strong></p> <p dir="ltr">The Transport to School service is a wellbeing initiative that supports schools and parents when students are experiencing significant barriers to attending school regularly. Wellbeing Transport Officers (Drivers) assist children to travel to school safely each day by providing a home to school transport service (12 seater mini-buses) in the greater Mount Druitt area.</p> <p dir="ltr">The role is offered on a casual basis and operates Monday to Friday from 7am - 9:30am within the school term only. Flexible availability (sometimes with short notice) is required to work the morning school runs. More specifically, the successful candidate will be required to:</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Provide transportation in a 12 seat vehicle&nbsp; for students with additional needs, ensure a safe, timely and well maintained bus service and schedule<br><br></p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Develop and maintain a flexible, needs-based schedule and ensure any safety risks and ongoing maintenance requirements are addressed &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; <br><br></p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Have the ability to follow directions, prioritise and meet set deadlines &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; <br><br></p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Demonstrate interpersonal skills in working with children and other personnel <br><br></p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Complete record keeping of student information and trips as required<br><br></p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Support the mission, teachings and ethos of the Catholic Church’s work in schools.<br><br></p> </li> </ul> <p dir="ltr"><strong>About you:</strong></p> <p dir="ltr">The successful applicant will demonstrate alignment to the core purpose and values of CSPD along with:</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Current NSW Driver Licence<br><br></p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Proven safe driving record<br><br></p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)<br><br></p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Experience working in a driving or working with children role.<br><br></p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Sound computer/technology skills with the ability to use email and smartphones<br><br></p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Ability to work unsupervised whilst also being an active team member.<br><br></p> </li> </ul> <p dir="ltr"><strong>Interested?</strong></p> <p dir="ltr"><strong>Apply today!</strong></p> <p dir="ltr">The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child-related employment including the completion of a National Police Check, retention of a valid Working with Children Check and adoption and compliance with CSPD’s Child Safeguarding Procedures and Code of Conduct When Working With Students and Children.
