Simonds Catholic College is seeking a Business Manager to operate its business services including finance, IT, property, capital works, administration and risk and compliance. The school is situated in the inner city of Melbourne, two blocks from Queen Vic Market.

<p><b>The Role </b></p><p>The Business Manager reports to the Principal and is a member of the Executive Team. </p><p>The Business Manager will act as Secretary to the College Advisory Council and prepare appropriate reports for the Council. </p><p>Along with the Executive, the position is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the College and oversight of all College Financial Reporting. </p><p><b>SPECIFIC DUTIES </b>The main duties of this position are:</p><ul><li>Executive and Strategic leadership </li><li>Financial preparation and reporting </li><li>Effective operation of business services including finance, IT, property, capital works, administration and risk and compliance. </li></ul><p><b>Attributes &amp; Competencies </b></p><p>The Business Manager is expected to exhibit the following qualities and competencies: </p><ul><li>Leadership, resilience and be a good communicator both orally and in writing. </li><li>A very good manager of people. </li><li>A firm belief in, and commitment to, the mission and vision and Core values of the College and an ability to articulate and promote these. </li><li>Demonstrate good, planning, administration, and finance skills. </li><li>Sound experience and expertise in business services. </li><li>Developed computer skills with experience in relevant software including Microsoft Office, Synergetic, ICON and SIMON, or the ability to acquire. </li><li>Participate in different Professional Learning activities that the College offers. </li><li>Demonstrate an understanding of key priorities of the legal requirements surrounding child safety. </li></ul><p><b>Remuneration </b></p><p>This position is a permanent position.
