Our aim is to foster critical thinking, curiosity, and a love of learning.&nbsp; We encourage students to develop into confident and generous young men and women who use their individual gifts in pursuit of both personal fulfillment and the common good.<br><br><strong>About the Role</strong></p> <p>The Pastoral Coordinator (House Coordinator) has specific responsibility for the holistic development and support of students within their care, which is, in all aspects, consistent with who we say we are as a Catholic school and directed towards continuous improvement. The focus is on collaborating with all stakeholders to ensure academic care, student well-being, conduct is nurtured and given guidance so that students of Trinity can achieve their God-given potential.</p> <p>The Pastoral Coordinator shares responsibility for the effective functioning of the College and the maintenance of an environment that is characterised by a sense of genuine care and respect for all in the College community as well as its resources. As a leader in the College, it is an expectation the Year 10/RICE House Coordinator models appropriate behaviours both in and out of the classroom and that they maintain loyalty and active support of the Executive Leadership Team in carrying out their duties.&nbsp;</p> <p><em>This appointment is temporary in nature because the substantive occupant (the incumbent) is taking parental leave. The incumbent is entitled to return earlier to their substantive position in accordance with the Fair Work Act 2009.</em></p> <p><strong>Essential Criteria<br></strong></p> <ol> <li>Demonstrates a willingness to support and promote the mission of the Church in Catholic Education and Trinity Catholic College values.</li> <li>Models excellence and innovation in teaching and learning demonstrating effective pedagogical practices which meet the needs of all students</li> <li>Strong knowledge of best practices in student well-being and pastoral care, trauma-informed practice, and the capacity to ensure effective implementation.</li> <li>Excellent organisational and management skills including the capacity to meet deadlines and to communicate clearly.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team situation, facilitating a harmonious working environment.</li> <li>Competent technology skills.</li> <li>A commitment to engage in relevant ongoing professional learning</li> </ol> <p><em>Please refer to the role description for an in-depth detail regarding criteria and skill set required.<br></em><strong><br>Application Process:</strong></p> <p>Applications are invited from interested candidates able to demonstrate a commitment to the vision of Catholic Education.</p> <p>Applicants are required to submit a cover letter and current resume including a statement of suitability against the skills, attributes and experience as outlined in the Position Description.</p> <p>This position involves working with children.
