<p>John Paul College, Frankston is a Catholic co-educational secondary school with a rich heritage in the traditions of the FCJ sisters and the Marianists.  We believe every student’s success is grounded in quality learning and teaching, and a school culture that fosters wellbeing, promotes resilience and inspires faith in action.</p><p>Our wonderful teachers and staff are supported with ongoing professional learning to support best practice in the classroom. Our teaching teams collaborate to highlight the school’s commitment to lifelong learning for both staff and students.<br /></p><p>We are currently seeking applications from suitably qualified candidates for the role of Head of Senior School Wellbeing to commence in Term 2. The Head of Senior School Wellbeing is a senior leadership role that is jointly responsible for leading excellence in student wellbeing and overseeing the College pastoral program. The Head of Senior School Wellbeing is a member of the Wellbeing for Learning Committee and the Pastoral Committee and reports directly to the Deputy Principal Wellbeing. </p><p> </p><p>The successful candidate will have:<br /></p><ul><li>A demonstrated understanding and commitment to the ethos of a Catholic school and its mission<br /></li><li>An understanding of and commitment to student wellbeing </li><li>Knowledge of appropriate avenues and resources for seeking information to support students, parents and staff </li><li>A broad knowledge, understanding and commitment to the principles of restorative practice. </li><li>Perseverance, sensitivity, compassion and patience in the face of complex and difficult situations. </li><li>A high level of discretion when handling confidential and sensitive information </li><li>Effective communication skills </li><li>The ability to manage prioritises and be highly organised </li><li>A demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with students, families and colleagues. </li><li>Excellent planning and organisational skills and high attention to detail. </li></ul><p>The tenure for the Head of Senior School Wellbeing position will be three years with successful candidates also receiving an ongoing teaching position.
