<p>The Australian Industry Trade College (AITC) is unlike any other school. It is a school for young people who seek a deliberately different educational experience. An industry-driven one. In operation for over 15 years, the AITC provides a unique three-year program for Years 10 to 12 that enables and empowers young people to find their purpose and proudly pursue a pathway in industry. A seamless blend of senior secondary education (QCE) and vocational training to engage young people in purposeful learning experiences with real industry relevance. </p><p>Currently with six operational schools across South-East Queensland, the AITC is looking for a dynamic and values-driven Chief Executive Officer to lead the College into the next stage of growth and impact. “Strategic Growth expectations” encompass an increase in the number of school campuses, interstate expansion, increased student numbers and employees, and the development of new industry partnerships. The role provides leadership for all aspects of the College operations, with an emphasis on strategic goals, future expansion, sustainability and innovation. </p><p>Reporting to the AITC Board of Directors, the Chief Executive Officer will be an experienced educational leader who has proven acumen in both education and corporate business or industry environments. They will be an exceptional and visionary leader committed to ensuring that the AITC strategically delivers a sector-leading industry-driven educational experience for students, employees and the wider community. The Chief Executive Officer’s leadership spans across education, business, industry, government, local and international communities, ensuring the AITC is at the forefront of the latest education and industry trends. </p><p>The successful candidate will have: </p><p>• Experience as an executive leader in an independent school, and experience outside of education, ideally in a commercial, business or industry environment. </p><p>• Experience or knowledge of industry career paths, apprenticeships, and vocational education, including awareness of current trends. </p><p>• Exceptional communication, public speaking, and interpersonal skills, with an ability to interact, inspire and influence others to action across all stakeholder levels (internal and external). </p><p>• High level of commercial and financial acumen with experience in growth strategies, developing additional sources of income, business process development and continuous improvement methodologies. </p><p>• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, organise and delegate responsibility, and oversee support functions within an education and/or business environment (finances, human resources, marketing, information technology, property management). </p><p>• Project management skills and experience with effective change management within an education and/or business environment. </p><p>Tertiary qualifications in Education and Business are essential; postgraduate qualifications will be highly regarded. </p><p>The Australian Industry Trade College is committed to providing a child safe environment where children and young people are safe, as outlined in the Child Protection Policy. </p><p>Hutton Consulting Australia is partnering with the Australian Industry Trade College Board in the search and selection process for this position.
