The Coordinator of English leads the delivery of the NESA 7-12 English Curriculum and supports the strategic directions of the College through the delivery of effective teaching and learning programs for students in Years 7-12. As a Coordinator you will be a leader in the College community, responsible for the day-to-day management of students, staff, courses and events for your faculty

<p>The Coordinator of English leads the delivery of the NESA 7-12 English, Drama and Languages Curriculum and supports the strategic directions of the College through the delivery of effective teaching and learning programs for students</p><p>in Years 7-12. As a Coordinator you will be a leader in the College community, responsible for the day to day management of students, staff, courses and events for your faculty.</p><p>Other teaching duties may include Christian Studies and Sport and in the Senior School staff are expected to fulfil a role as a pastoral care tutor in our vertical, House based pastoral care system.</p><p>Outdoor Education takes place at the end of each year and all Senior School staff are involved with this activity.</p><p>In the appointment of teachers, we take into consideration additional interests and abilities, and encourage applicants to include these in their resume.</p><p><br /></p><h4>ABOUT YOU</h4><p> </p><p>We are seeking an energetic and authentic educator, committed to fostering a deep love of learning in students, you will have a personal Christian Faith demonstrating a commitment to Christian teaching practice. You will have the ability to integrate an authentic Christian worldview into your classroom teaching and set appropriate academic and behavioural expectations, and to lead others in these areas. </p><p>You will demonstrate passion for teaching and learning as well as for differentiated learning and assessment that caters to the individual needs of all students. A willingness to be flexible in approaches to learning, including exploring evidence-based and innovative pedagogies and new approaches to the teaching of English is essential.</p><p>You will have an exceptional understanding and knowledge of the New South Wales English curriculum and the ability to inspire students in their love of learning and pursuit of excellence. You will have a proven track record in delivering HSC subjects to all levels, including Extension 2, and using digital technology for student and teacher learning.</p><p>Applicants should be willing to seek opportunities to contribute to the life of the College beyond their particular area of responsibility.</p>
