<p><b>Location:</b> John Therry Catholic College, Rosemeadow</p><p>John Therry Catholic College is a Catholic co-educational school situated in Rosemeadow in the city of Campbelltown and part of the Diocese of Wollongong. Established by the Marist Brothers the College maintains a strong Marist charism, tradition and affiliation with Marist Ministries. The College provides a wide curriculum to approximately 1006 students as we strive for academic success while offering many sporting, cultural and extracurricular opportunities. Our motto, Recta Sapere – (to know what is right) is lived throughout the College as we develop young people who will make a positive contribution to our community and continue to make a difference in an ever-changing world.</p> <p>A temporary full time position commencing 30 January 2024 until 20 December 2024.</p> <p>This position exists to support the delivery of quality learning and teaching. This classroom-based position requires you to work collaboratively with teachers, providing assistance in all areas of student learning and management.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA</p> <p>The preferred applicant demonstrates the following criteria:</p> <ul type="disc"> <li>A commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.</li> <li>Ability to support children’s individual learning in the classroom.</li> <li>Understanding of and ability to work with students with diverse needs.</li> <li>Ability to interact positively with students.</li> <li>Technical competence in appropriate technologies.</li> </ul> <p>DESIRABLE SELECTION CRITERIA</p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Previous experience in similar settings.</li> <li>Experience with the PB4L framework.</li> </ul> <p>The following GENERAL CAPABILITIES are applicable to the role:</p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Well developed written and oral communication skills.</li> <li>Well-developed interpersonal skills.</li> <li>Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.</li> <li>Ability to maintain confidentiality.</li> </ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Certificate III in Classroom Support or equivalent</li> <li>Current Senior First Aid Certificate</li> </ul> <p>WORKING WITH CHILDREN CLEARANCE</p> <p>This role is classified as a child related work and therefore a working with children clearance is required prior to your commencement with us.</p> <p>POSITION APPLICATION&nbsp;</p> <p>To submit your Application please select the 'Apply Now' button at the bottom of this advertisement.</p> <p><strong>Closing date: 14 December 2023 at 5pm</strong></p>
