The college is seeking an experienced and qualified Learning Support Teacher with the knowledge, experience and ability to provide support to students and be an integral part of the Learning Support team.

<p><b>ABOUT THE ROLE </b></p> <p>The College seeks an experienced and qualified Learning Support Teacher to commence on 22 January, 2024 in a full-time permanent position. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing support to students with identified special learning needs. They will also be an integral part of the Learning Support Team, implementing learning programs to support student learning. They will also have an excellent knowledge of NSW Syllabuses, assessment and reporting requirements, a thorough understanding of student welfare matters and a dedication to the profession of teaching.</p> <p>A full position description is available on the College website www.eac.nsw.edu.au/about-us/employment.</p> <p><b>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES </b></p> <p>• Development of quality programming, assessment and reporting.</p> <p>• Promoting quality teaching and learning through the identification and support or individual learning needs of students.</p> <p>• Promoting effective administration within the Learning Support Department including managing the department budget.</p> <p>• Teach classes as specified by the Principal.</p> <p>• Provide professional leadership, supervision, support and guidance to Learning Support Assistant(s)</p> <p><b>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS </b></p> <p>• Bachelor of Education (or equivalent).</p> <p>• Broad teaching experience.</p> <p>• Passionate and experienced educator with an understanding of how students learn and the ability to create classroom environments that engage and meet the needs of learners.</p> <p>• Innovative teacher with a good knowledge of special education.</p> <p>• Skill and experience in working with students with special learning needs.</p> <p>• NSW Teacher Accreditation and a current WWCC.</p> <p>• Capacity and desire to contribute to the ethos of Emmanuel Anglican College.</p> <p>• Understanding of processes, agencies and program designed to support students with additional needs to transition to work.</p> <p>• Excellent interpersonal skills, organisation skills and the ability to work effectively as a team member.</p> <p><b>HOW TO APPLY </b></p> <p>Please provide a cover letter outlining your experience and suitability for the role addressing key responsibilities, knowledge, skills and qualifications outlined in the Position Description.
