The Specialist Teacher is responsible for promoting the importance of music education throughout the Diocese and the effective delivery of embedded arts learning.&nbsp;</p> <p dir="ltr">This position is ongoing part-time, working Tuesday and Friday.&nbsp;</p> <p dir="ltr"><strong>More specifically you will:</strong></p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Contribute to the development of creative and performing arts programs and practices in and beyond the classroom</p></li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Deliver the classroom programs in band and strings (primary school)</p></li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Capacity Build primary creative arts teachers to deliver music outcomes linking into other KLAs.</p></li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Run ensembles</p></li> </ul> <p dir="ltr"><strong>About you:</strong></p> <p dir="ltr">To be successful you will demonstrate alignment to our purpose and values, together with:</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Demonstrated syllabus knowledge in primary music, secondary music or, ideally, K-12 music.</p></li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Experience in running a variety of instrumental and choral ensembles.</p></li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Working with Children Check clearance</p></li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)</p></li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Tertiary Qualification in Music/Education</p></li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Statements of Service</p></li> </ul> <p dir="ltr"><strong>Interested?</strong></p> <p dir="ltr">This position involves working with children.
