<p>Contract of up to 1 day per week, 2024 School Year<br></p> <p>Damascus College is currently seeking dynamic and experienced Instrumental Tutors to join a growing Instrumental Music Department from the beginning of the 2024 school year. This is a contract position for the 2024 school year with the possibility of a renewal of contract in 2025.</p> <p>The successful candidates will be engaged across one to two days of teaching each week during school term. Students in the program are enrolled for half hour lessons on a rotational basis, during school hours each week and are charged for eight lessons per term.</p> <p>It is preferable for applicants to have the ability to work, communicate with and educate students of varying skill levels (from complete beginner with no music experience to intermediate students with a good knowledge of music theory and techniques) and to overall have the ability to modify and differentiate for students with diverse learning needs.</p> <p><b><u>We are seeking applications for tutors of Guitar, Singing, Drums/Percussion. </u></b></p> <p>It is essential for the applicants to have:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to teach classical and contemporary technique</li> <li>Ability to teach the reading and writing of music</li> <li>Ability to teach the VCE music and AMEB syllabus</li> <li>Ability to modify and differentiate for students with diverse learning needs</li> <li>Maintain a current Working with Children Check and complete annual requirements required for complying with the College’s Child Safe Standards</li> <li>Demonstrate excellent communication, organisation and administrative skills</li> </ul> <p>Our College offers a supportive team environment with strong opportunities for professional challenge and growth.
