<p><b>PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION </b></p> <p>This role exists to support Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Wagga Wagga, to provide a welcoming and safe place for our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and their children.</p> <p>As the schools are located in Wiradjuri (and Yorta Yorta) country, in accordance with our tradition, the term Aboriginal will be used to refer to both Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, parents and carers.</p> <p>The Aboriginal School and Community Worker (ASCW) will engage in opportunities which support the learning, pastoral and spiritual wellbeing of Aboriginal students, their families and community.
