<p><b>Full-Time Temporary position commencing Term 1, 2024</b></p>
<p>St Jerome's Catholic Primary School is seeking an exceptional educator to join our vibrant teaching community as classroom teacher, and make a positive impact on the lives of our students.</p>
<p>In joining our school, you will be joining the Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS) system and be part of the largest Catholic education community in NSW, with a unified vision and shared resources, encompassing over 145 schools and almost 73,000 students. </p>
<p>SCS is recognised for outstanding student achievement, with 9 schools in the top 100 of the HSC rankings and 17 schools placing in the top 150. We focus on enabling a quality preschool to post-school learning journey for every child, supported by a team of dedicated educators and caregivers.</p>

<p>About you:</p>
<p>As a St Jerome's teacher, you work to ensure every student reaches their full potential through high quality, collaborative and engaging pedagogy.</p>
<p>The successful candidate will:</p>
<ul>
<li>have a sound knowledge of and commitment to the Church's mission in Catholic Education</li>
<li>be familiar with current theory and best practice in Literacy and Numeracy<br></li>
<li>employ a data-informed approach to setting challenging learning objectives and providing constructive feedback<br></li>
<li>a clear understanding of the needs of EAL/D learners</li>
<li>ability to differentiate and provide for a diverse range of abilities</li>
<li>be committed to ongoing professional learning as a member of a professional learning community</li>
<li>NESA accreditation and a current NSW Working with Children Check</li>
<li>have effective interpersonal skills and be prepared to work collaboratively as a member of a team</li>
<li>be willing to contribute to the broader aspects of school life, outside of the classroom</li>
</ul>
<p>You will have attained:</p>
<ul>
<li>a Bachelor of Education (Primary) [conditionally qualified Teachers, will need to provide evidence in the form of transcripts from your teaching degree]</li>
<li>current accreditation with NSW Standards Authority (NESA)</li>
<li>qualifications in Religious Education or Theology in accordance with the Accreditation Policy to Work, Teach and Lead in Sydney Catholic Schools, or the commitment to complete this qualification</li>
<li>an SCS Employee ID Number, by completing the Registration To Teach process, or a commitment to complete the registration process.</li>
