Prince of Peace Lutheran College is seeking a permanent Classroom Teacher (P-6) – The Arts - Music including some classroom Drama & Extra Curricular Music Co-ordination, with contemporary learning experience. FTE 0.8

<p><i>Prince of Peace Lutheran College is a K-12 co-educational, independent, Christian school located in the north-western suburbs of Brisbane. The College was established by the Prince of Peace Lutheran Congregation in 1984 to provide quality Christian education to the children of the community. </i></p> <p><i>Prince of Peace Lutheran College offers classes on two sites from Kindergarten to Year 12 with approximately 750 students enrolled. The Junior Campus (K-6) is located at Rogers Parade West, Everton Park. The Middle &amp; Senior Campus, 1 km away at Henderson Road, Everton Hills was opened in July 2009 and is home to Years 7-12.</i></p> <p><i> </i></p> <ul> <li><b><i>This is a permanent position, FTE 0.8, working Tuesdays – Fridays, commencing in 2024.<br></i></b></li> <li><b><i>It is essential that applicants have a demonstrated capacity in working as a Primary Classroom Music Teacher Foundation to Year 6 as this is the main focus of the role. </i></b></li> <li><b><i>It is envisioned that the Drama aspect of the Arts will be incorporated into the classroom music program. </i></b></li> <li><b><i>This role involves co-ordination of extra curricular music opportunities within the Junior School including the leading of two Junior Campus choirs. Other opportunities for developing the Music and Arts program of the College are welcome.</i></b></li> </ul> <p>SELECTION CRITERIA<br></p> <h4><br></h4> <h4></h4> <h5><b>1. Demonstrated professional skills </b></h5> <p>• Ability to develop professional relationships with children</p> <p>• Ability to develop professional relationships with staff, colleagues, parents and members of the community</p> <h5><b>3. Demonstrated ability to plan and implement high quality teaching and learning programs </b></h5> <p>• Demonstrated knowledge of Australian Curriculum Arts subject - Music &amp; Drama</p> <p>• Demonstrate an understanding of Extra Curricular music co-ordination</p> <p>• Ability to integrate ICTs as cross curricular priorities in the curriculum</p> <h5><b>4.
