St Francis Catholic College is a K-Year 12 school located at Edmondson Park, NSW.

<p><b>Location:</b> St Francis Catholic College, Edmondson Park</p> <p>St Francis Catholic College, Edmondson Park is located near the junction of the M5 and M7 motorways. It is a rapidly growing K-12 school with a student population exceeding 1450 students in 2024. The college is one school, not a traditional primary school and high school coexisting on the same site.&nbsp; As such, the college is organised into Junior Years Learning (K-4), Middle Years Learning (5-8), and Senior Years Learning (9-12). St Francis is entering its 7th Stage of Building Development and offers state-of-the-art learning &amp; specialist KLA facilities.</p> <p dir="ltr">A permanent full time position commencing 30 January 2024. The successful applicant will advocate and provide quality pathways and employment education programs that develop students’ skills, knowledge, and capabilities for post-school opportunities. The successful applicant in consultation with the Leadership team, will provide links with external agencies supporting career development and education, ensuring that students and parents/carers are aware of post-school options in order to make informed decisions and be prepared for the transition to post-school life.&nbsp;</p> <p dir="ltr">The position is F.T.E 0.7 Transition &amp; Pathways (TAPS) and F.T.E. 0.3 classroom teacher. The classroom teacher component could be attached to any Key Learning Area in the Year 5-12 space. Consideration may be given to someone who wishes to work the F.T.E. 0.7 TAPS component only.</p> <p dir="ltr">ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:</p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.</li> <li>Create and maintain an orderly, safe, and supportive learning environment based on the principles of PB4L.</li> <li>Apply knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning.</li> <li>Ability to plan for and implement effective teaching and learning.</li> <li>Use a range of assessment strategies and analyse data to inform student learning.</li> <li>Demonstrate commitment to engage professionally with colleagues, parents /carers, and the wider school community.</li> </ul> <p>DESIRABLE SELECTION CRITERIA</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr">Outstanding interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to build rapport and interact effectively with students, parents/carers, staff and community members.&nbsp;</li> <li dir="ltr">Enthusiastic about the development and implementation of career programs and initiatives. Familiarity with a variety of career paths and industries and a commitment to staying current with trends in education and the labour market.
