Student Mentor (0.5 FTE part-time negotiable)
<p>Applications are sought for the position of Student Mentor commencing in January 2024.</p> <p><b>OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE </b></p> <p>The role of the Student Mentor is to support the continued provision of a culturally safe, inclusive community, and to support the Defence Force Mentoring Program.</p> <p></p> <p>The Student Mentor is under the direction of and reports directly to the Vice Principal - Students.<br></p> <p><b>MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY </b></p> <p>The responsibilities of the Student Mentor Include but are not limited to:</p> <p>i. assistance with the provision of support to Indigenous students to improve their educational outcomes;</p> <p>ii. assistance with the provision of support to Indigenous students to nurture their cultural growth;</p> <p>iii. assistance with the development of a culturally safe, inclusive community;</p> <p>iv. undertaking support of students under the Defence Force Mentoring Program; and</p> <p>v. performing other day-to-day duties and implementing decisions as requested by the Principal or the College Improvement Team.</p> <p><br></p> <p><br></p> <p><br></p> <p><br></p> <p><br></p> <p><br></p> <p><br></p> <p><br></p> <p><br></p> <p></p> <p><br></p> <p></p> <p></p>
