It is an environment that places an emphasis on learning being fun and ‘doing ordinary things, extraordinarily well’, where each child is valued for who they are and what they have to offer.</p> <p><strong>About the Role</strong></p> <p>St John Vianney's Primary has an exciting opportunity for a <strong>Religious Education Coordinator (REC)</strong> to join our Team in an acting capacity.</p> <p>This role shares with the Principal and the Leadership Team the responsibility of:</p> <ul> <li>Educational and spiritual leadership.</li> <li>The development of a Christ-centred faith community.</li> <li>Ensuring Catholic perspectives are embedded across all subject areas.</li> </ul> <p>The role of Religious Education Coordinator is a Senior Leadership position and is on the School’s Leadership Team. This position is to be held by a practicing Catholic who is committed to the Catholic faith and the spiritual wellbeing and growth of all.</p> <p>The REC position is from Term 2 - Term 4 2024, with a teaching position attached in Term 1 2024. Salary is commensurate with the relevant position for each term.&nbsp;</p> <p>This appointment is temporary in nature because the substantive occupant (the incumbent) is taking parental leave. The incumbent is entitled to return earlier to their substantive position in accordance with the Fair Work Act 2009.</p> <p><strong>Essential Criteria</strong></p> <p>We are looking for committed professionals with:</p> <ul> <li>Clearly articulate the aims of Catholic education and the evangelising mission of Catholic schools.</li> <li>Lead and build capacity of staff in Religious Education curricula.</li> <li>Lead change and demonstrate contemporary pedagogy that focuses on improving student outcomes in Religious Education, including implementing High Impact Teaching Practices.</li> <li>Evaluate, analyse, and use data to inform learning and engage in future strategic planning in Religious Education.</li> <li>Lead and build capacity of staff to provide opportunities of encounter through faith formation, prayer and liturgical experiences.</li> <li>Collaboratively develop, faciliate and promote the school’s Catholic social justice, charitable works and outreach initiatives.</li> <li>Effectively communicate with a variety of stakeholders to build relationships.</li> <li>Communicate and promote the engagement of parents and carers in the Religion Curriculum and Religious Life of the School.</li> <li>Be a practising Catholic</li> <li>Provide a reference from a current Parish Priest</li> <li>Must have completed, be due to complete or a willingness to complete Accreditation D and E, according to the <strong><em>Accreditation to work, teach and lead in a Catholic School</em></strong> <strong><em>Policy</em></strong>.</li> </ul> <p><em>Please refer to the role description for</em><em> an in-depth detail regarding criteria and skill set required.</em></p> <p><strong>Application Process</strong></p> <p>Applications are invited from interested candidates able to demonstrate a commitment to the vision of Catholic Education.</p> <p>Applicants are required to submit an expression of interest and current resume including a statement of suitability against the skills, attributes and experience as outlined in the position description.</p> <p>This position involves working with children.
