<p>The Role of the Grounds and Maintenance Worker is to carry out all duties required to create and maintain an aesthetically pleasing, safe and healthy environment within the College grounds and to support staff and students with the placement of furniture, equipment and resources. To carry out repairs and maintenance as appropriate</p> <p><br></p> <p></p> <p><b>Responsibilities and Duties </b></p> <p>General gardening, weeding, pick up rubbish in garden beds, prune trees</p> <p>Water pot plants in courtyards and foyers, check reticulation</p> <p>General maintenance duties, including minor painting</p> <p>Empty and Clean Bins/ replace bin liners</p> <p>Ensure verandahs, stairways and paths are clear or leaves and rubbish</p> <p>Liaise with contractors and ensure safe work practices</p> <p>Clean drains and gutters</p> <p>Mowing</p> <p>Check and repair toilets and taps</p> <p>Mould removal and air conditioning filter cleaning</p> <p><b>Essential Criteria </b></p> <p>Have a commitment to uphold the Catholic School Ethos</p> <p>Be self motivated, be able to work with minimum supervision and be a good role model to others such as students</p> <p>Hold a Current Drivers Licence and a LR or the ability to acquire LR</p> <p>Maintain a current Working with Children Card (Ochre Card)</p> <p><br></p> <p></p> <p></p> <p></p> <p></p>
